Understanding the buildings and how they help complete the level is key. Once I figured out the buildings, I would look at the map to see where they were located and then decided the importance/order of leveling each one.
Crafting Spot can be leveled 3 times - it will give you extra wood when you pick up wood based on its level Garden Spot can be leveled 3 times - it will give you extra food when you pick up food based on its level Note: If the crafting spot is easy to reach, I found it helpful to level it up once or twice before leveling up the monkey base. Mage Hut (purple) - requires orbs you obtain by spending resources (food, wood, stone) at indicated idols. The mage can then roll boulders, activate rope swings and switch the fire idols from one side to the other. The Mage is also required for giving the orbs to firebird. Scout Hut (green) - will clear vines and uncover hidden items needed to complete the tasks. Warrior Hut (red) - will clear animals.
Overall, I found this to be a fun game and was able to easily get 3 stars on each level. Really liked that the game was not linear - you can go whichever direction you like and still be able to complete the level. My only complaint would be that there were only 37 levels. Felt like I was shorted at least 3 levels.
In over a decade of TM games on BF, I have never felt the need to review a game because the community has done a great job by the time I get to a game. But felt this game deserves a few of my thoughts.
If a player has to hack game files to have enough resources on hand so they don't have to waste time building buildings, collecting resources, or strategizing so they can focus on having a shot at figuring out what you are supposed to do in which order .. then DEV, you are doing it wrong. The strategy guide is laughable, there is no consistency on where you get certain items, and you only have a 20 second window to find a puzzle piece or it's gone. Not to mention the microscopic items you are meant to collect, your guys are in the way of collecting said items when you do manage to click on the right thing to uncover them and as others have mentioned, the busyness of the screen itself.
I have never been so disappointed in a game. It is not worth a credit. Even if you know how to hack game files and give yourself unlimited resources, you will still be frustrated for all the reasons mentioned. It is not an enjoyable play - especially if you have any level of visual impairment.
