I like the solitaire games from this developer, but THIS one has some developer flaws. The card cover choices are not as easy to read as previous games and the BIG complaint I have is in the Professional mode - the completed games are STILL shown by a LOCK - meaning you can't tell if you played it to completion or happened to skip over it. NOT a good feature choice! If you want to play solitaire, use a different version. Skip this one completely.

TOO MANY of the same scenes from previous Christmas Wonderland games. It is unfortunate that I had just replayed three of the ones I had previously bought - because the memory of the scenes and items to find was fresh in my mind. You shouldn't have the same scenes with maybe a couple extra items in different games - that should be something you find in the SAME game when you replay it (as has happened in the past with this developer). I love replaying a scene and finding new items - but only in the game the scene first showed up in, not in a NEW game, a Collector Edition to boot. I won't be spending my credits on this one.

I always play the MCF games, hoping against hope they bring back the games of old - but not this one either. I just replayed MCF Fate's Carnival and THAT is what I want and expect from MCF games. This isn't a BAD game, just more like every other HO game out there.
It seems the level of difficulty has gone WAY down. Not good! Still playing very nice relaxing music which is a good thing. It seems they either have a new programmer who's cutting their teeth on games or someone made (the very bad) decision to make the puzzles a lot more simple. Ramp it up people!
Another reviewer is correct - most games like this have an option to play without a timer - this one doesn't. I am VERY fast with these types of games and it just became stressful to play, not enjoyable.

Bought on sale, but would have paid full price. So nice to have a HO game that is not the same old, same old. The graphics are stupendous! Great progression, minigames, HOS.
Venture into the woods, explore challenging new mosaics puzzles, and discover a variety of mini games while learning more about the Gnome’s magical world!
I know, I know - some players complain these games are too similar - but I don't find that at all! The scenes are different and the developers are doing absolutely the right thing with the accompanying music. LOVE the calm music - it's half of why I play these games. The puzzles in between some scenes are fun, solveable, and a nice pause between the mosaic boards.
I'm not into HO games at the moment, but this one grabbed my attention because it's so different than the same old, same old. Progression through the game is the way I like it - not having to bounce from one place, backwards etc - it keeps moving forward. The minigames are JUST challenging enough and are innovative.

It's like they gave a novice programmer free rein - and they didn't make the mark. No mention at all of finding raccoons throughout. I usually play a game at least all the way through the trial, but I found the graphics so annoying - I left after only a few screens.
