I really wanted to like this game as there aren't too many traditional time management games on offer these days apart from the clickfest, resource collecting ones like "My Kingdom for the Princess". I got quite excited to see this was an old-school game with nothing dark or horrific; it also had a salon/fashion theme, which delighted the little girl in me. Unfortunately I found almost nothing to like about it.
The gameplay is very reminiscent of Sally's Spa (move clients from chair to chair providing services at every station) but without any of the fun. The graphics are tired and just didn't feel polished enough for this sort of game; the music is mega annoying (I had to turn it off immediately); the gameplay itself feels very stilted and laborious. The difficulty level also seemed to sky-rocket very quickly (as in within the second level) and I found the tutorial just wasn't adequately informative enough to help you deal with the sudden spike. This just makes me feel as though the developers were too sloppy to properly control the game's development.
The only thing I did like were some of the characters that popped up every once in a while as your friends - cute, almost manga-style. But to be honest I was desperate at that stage to find any redeeming feature.
I like to give games a go and don't often turn them off before at least the end of the trial but after 15 mins I couldn't take it any more. What a shame - I'll have to wait another 6 months before I get to see another good, traditional time-management game.
If you're sick of demented werewolves and bloody corpses and love beautiful graphics, daring adventure and an interesting storyline then this is the game for you.
So excited to find an adventure/HO game that isn't dark and depressing but instead offers good, old-fashioned baddies and an immersive world full of wonder.
I love the setting in what seems to be a Bavarian village, with German townsfolk in traditional garb and accents to boot.
I enjoyed the mini-games as well, some of which I hadn't encountered before. The HO scenes were delightful too, and there were was a good balance between the two.
The only minus (and this is a small one) was that the ending seemed rather abrupt and hurried, almost as if the developers ran out of time/money and had to cut it short. Still, this is only a minor bug and certainly doesn't detract from the game itself, which more than makes up for it.

I won't go into all the technical details as that's been done already - I just wanted to say this is one of the most fun games I've played in a while! Great storyline, good sense of humour, beautifully animated, great balance of HO, puzzle and adventure genres - just an all-round winner. And not a single werewolf in sight. I wish there were more games like this on BF.
I'm not going to repeat the game specifics as they've been covered well already - I just wanted to say if you enjoy fairytales that aren't too dark and twisted then you'll enjoy this. The graphics are beautifully soft, as you would expect in a traditional fable, and the gameplay is great. Fantastic for both adults and kids. Two thumbs up from me :)

I'm struggling to find the words to describe this game but "awful" springs to mind quite strongly :) You don't often come across games that have no storyline or characterisation, zero challenge and non-existent fun factor but this one fits the bill. Add to that appalling grammar (for the love of sanity, if you're going to go to the trouble of developing a game you'd think you'd check the language - any online translator could do a better job) and you've got a total stinker of a game. The only aspect I can recommend are the graphics, which I must admit were quite cute. Shame the developers didn't spend more time on the rest.

I'm not going to go into gameplay detail as the other reviewers have done that very well, but I will say this game is delightful. And that's not something you can say of many games these days. The graphics are gorgeously hand-drawn, it has a period setting and there are no headless zombies hiding in the closet (quite rare, I know). Yes, the storyline is wacky and the main character does come out with some crazy (and grammatically incorrect) lines but that doesn't really detract from the overall enjoyment for me. It's also got the perfect level of challenge for me; hard enough to keep you on your toes but easy enough to get "perfect" if you concentrate. Please please please make more such games - I know they're probably not going to gross as much money as the vampire chicken fetuses but they are dearly loved by those who appreciate beautiful art and charming entertainment!

I've just finished playing the demo and couldn't help but voice my utter disappointment with this 3rd installment of the fabulous Snark Busters series. Why oh why do game developers think they can make a game better by totally destroying the elements that made it successful in the first place?! I'm sure as a stand-alone it's a great game and if you haven't played any of the previous Snark Busters games you'll probably find it delightful - great graphics, pretty interesting storyline, no disembowelled dolls lying on asylum floors...but how this can even be labelled a Snark Busters game beats me. The gameplay interface is completely different; the music sounds like something a two year old would come up with on a midi machine; the voice-overs, while beautifully executed, irritate due to their sudden appearance in an otherwise voiceless series; and the pop up dialogue that keeps on popping up over and over again (yes, we heard it the first time) is hair-rippingly awful. I know, let's take Diner Dash and make it even better by setting it in a swinging sixties shoe factory and throw some HOG scenes in to keep people guessing! Ah well, time for a cuppa and what I believe will be a long wait before we see another Snark Busters installment that proves as successful as the first two...
