I have played this game several times and here is what I think.
This is a fun game, the dialog is pretty silly and your kids could play this with no worries about language or what happens in the game.
The only problem I had with the game is that I never seem to win the race at the end. I bet on two seahorses at a time and one of them falls down, even if it won the last race, or my horse just finishes last. It's pretty funny, but I hope you or your kids have better luck with those seahorses that are racing. ; >
Buy it as a free game or when it is marked down. I am glad I did not pay full price for it.
I loved this the first few times I played it. Then I played it a few more times and liked it.
Now I play it once in a while and wish that there were more puzzles. The ones that are there are beautiful. They're fun to assemble the first times you do them. Then you start wanting more levels.
I bought it based on the reviews of other people but I wouldn't buy it again. Worth spending a free credit on it, but I wouldn't buy it. Sigh...I wanted to love it so much.
I always play with the music turned off so I can't comment on that.
I can't recommend this game because there just aren't enough puzzles to make it worth purchasing.
A Girl in the City is short, boring, the hidden objects are not hidden. This is just a bad game.
Sometimes I like to play harmless little games like Barn Yarn. They are cute, have a good storyline, and I can watch tv or talk on the phone while playing them. Those games are cute. Right now I am playing Easter games because it's the season after all...
A Girl in the City is not cute. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. I am going to delete it so I don't have to see the name in my list of games.
If I could have given it less than one star I would have. The "story" is ridiculous. Laura goes to New York. Several times she "passes out" for no apparent reason. Instead of going to a doctor, she just carries on with the next scene.
Many of the people she interacts with are shadows, they don't ever rate a drawing. Laura's outfit never changes, no matter where she is supposed to be.
I found this unsuitable for children due to the references to consuming liquor, even though we must assume that Laura is over 21 since she has a journalism degree.
Thank goodness I didn't pay for it. It was still overpriced. It would have been overpriced if they paid me to play it...sigh...
I have been on Bigfish for a long time and I think this is the worst game I ever accidentally got. I kept thinking it had to get better, but it never did.
Shame on whoever put this thing together. May they have to play it over and over, and over, for eternity. Ugh.

This isn't a game for gamers who want shoot 'em up, or scary stuff, or running back and forth to multiple sites over and over again to complete play.
What this game is: it's a sweet next chapter of the Farmscape, Gardenscape series. It is perfect for children or adults who don't want to have to play under pressure. Objects are fairly easy to find, there are extra coins hidden in each scene, and the characters are familiar if you've played the previous games in this series. You can skip the conversations if you like but I find them charming.
Clicking on objects on screens can be fun too. The chickens, for instance, sort of jump up in the air and squwak if you click on them.
I love these games and hope we don't have to wait long for more of them. They are just too cute.
There are several Dream Days games and I have them all. No scary whatevers, no timing if you play Casual, and, happily, no running back and forth between areas to get the one item you need to continue on another area.
These are pretty much straight on hidden object games. At the end of each chapter there are little puzzles that aren't too challenging, but are amusing.
This is a game you can play with your children, or they can play alone with no worries of what they will see or hear. Each one of the series have themes, Wedding Day, Wedding in Manhatten or Italy, Honeymoon, New House. I don't remember all of the exact names of them but I do know that I will always buy whatever they put out.
They are not graphics intensive and there isn't anything happening in the sounds that would cause you to turn the sound off when the kids are around or visiting.
These are sweet games. Sometimes I laugh at something in the game. Sometimes the wedding cake, wedding dress, or some part of a house will have a CRISIS! and you must find all items to continue. The Dream Day games have good, old fashioned, themes.
I absolutely recommend this game. Not flashy, but always good.
I recommend this game!

Buy this if you have not bought any of the other Amazing Adventures games. If you own all three of the others don't bother. If you don't own any of the other Amazing Adventures games buy this one and not the other three.
I was very disappointed with this game. I own the other three games in this series and have played all of them multiple times. When I saw this one I bought it without trying it out first. My mistake.
This game contains locations from the other three! They didn't even move the locations of the objects. This was such a lazy way to put this game together that I am offended. They could have at least moved some of the objects around the locations, but they didn't even do that.
Yes, the scenery is beautiful, but I have seen the exact same scenery in the other games.
I am very disappointed that this game was just an exact repeat of other Amazing Adventures games.
