There was a lot to like about this game. but if you get involved in the story, you might be disappointed.
A witch turns an ordinary guy into a vampire. Vampire meets ordinary girl who sets out to defeat him, but falls in love with him instead. You play as both the vampire and the girl, in search of the witch's potion that will turn the vampire back into an ordinary guy.
You won't be disappointed in the game play. The graphics are quite stunning, the adventure pretty decent, the puzzles quite excellent, the length satisfying.

This is amazing in it's details. I don't want to actually review it -- you should experience every little surprise for yourself. Just immerse yourself in this game's environment. There are some truly wondrous moments that will evoke a smile.
Some hints about mechanics: • If you are bothered by the scene "movement" you can turn it off in options • Play in Experienced mode -- no sparkles or visual hints • If you have performance issues, lower your screen resolution (notice was in the game) • The game has achievements -- IF you want to know what they are, click on "extras" before you start to play. • Look everywhere at everything!

More like a HOP than a HOPA. The only real adventure seems to be in the title.
There are several locations to explore. In each you go from place to place finding hidden objects, solving puzzles, and using inventory items to accomplish tasks.
Play timed or untimed. There are fewer hints in timed mode; fiinish all the task in the alloted time or play the chapter again.
Artwork is colorful if a bit fuzzy, music is repetitive, some items are quite small. I will give the game a lot of credit for diversity in game play. H0G scenes require all manner of different types of tasks. The puzzles are also varied; they are different from the norm or at least had a different twist on them.
There is some guffaw humor, and the whole game is basically lighthearted. A nice change of pace.i It is a fun way to fill up some time and add a smile to your day.
Check out the sequel, Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates. The game play and presentation are similar but it improves on this one.
I recommend this game!

If you are familiar with Angela Lansbury and the TV series, this game is fun the nostalgia factor alone.
Solve mysteries along with Jessica Fletcher and the towns folk of Cabot Cove, Maine.
Each mystery "book" takes place in several locations, but they are more H0G than adventure where game play is concerned. My one complaint is the format was repetitive. I recommend taking a break from the game between books.

It is a mix of many different puzzle types and hidden object searches. Each one has it's own unique artistic style. The entire game presentation is different from anything else. It will occupy hours and hours of your time.

This game is entirely hand painted and the music was written for this game.
The story is a most curious activity indeed. You are following Patricia, a Guardian of Home World, as she flies around the universe with "Saucer" in search of "Sun". (Some inanimate objects are given "human" qualities and surnames appropriate to their purpose in her world.) She lands on an unknown planet and sets off on her search using her purse of endless things and her trusty Sense Maker to figure things out. The Sense Maker appears to be an iPad prototype. (smile)
The entire journey is both story book and a sort of jigsaw puzzle. Every puzzles is the same -- a jumbled picture in a rectangle divided in squares. Click on 2 blocks to exchange their positions. There are 2 modes, you cannot switch between them once you have created your profile. Normal has a grid of 48 blocks. Hard has a grid of 192 blocks. (Um, good luck with that.) Thank goodness, in both modes, the corner blocks are marked.
There is a hint feature but no skip feature, so be prepared to spend a lot of time on some of the puzzles.
The music is Zen like, as is the game actually. There is no timer, and you do get lost in the etherial story and mesmerized in solving the puzzles.
The game has some bonus features: Complete the game and get bonus puzzles and bonus music. There are also achievements during play.
The game is customizable -- you can download your own music. You can also create puzzles by importing your own picture and background files. The feature worked as advertised (on my Mac.)
I think this is a "you either love it or hate it" kind of game. I liked that it was different, but I could only play it a few puzzles at a time.
The artwork is stunning. There is an amazing contrast of soft and hard edge painterly quality -- may not be your style, but the talent to create it should be applauded.

The Rainbow games have progressed with each addition to the series.
These things have been added in Rainbow Web III: • More ways to play the webs • More variety of mini games • More tasks • More scenery • More adventure • More Story • More colorful artwork • More fun! And one thing has, thankfully, been removed: • No timer!
This is one tough puzzle game disguised as a match 3. The basic mechanic has colored balls strung along a spider web. Some balls have letters. You must match the colors by exchanging balls to knock out the letters. Trust me, this is not always as simple as it sounds.
The main idea in this game, it appears, is to make the matches that get the most points. The faster you rack up the points, the faster you will lift the curse from a town person's shop. But then, you are only one step closer to freeing that person from the spider's lair. Tricky puzzles await to free them all.
The game can be a relaxing challenge, or a relaxing activity. As you make any kind of match, with or without letters, you build a hammer. Once activated, you can use it to knock out a pesky letter. So, in essence, you can just play this as a match three with a helpful power up.. The challenge comes in knocking out the letters on your own. But one thing is for sure -- if you have not played any of these games, it is definitely different.
And even if you have, if you enjoyed the others, I think you will like this one even more. The art work is lovely, the story and additional activities add interest. There are several hours of pleasant, varied, game play.
The background music is rather relaxing, actually, and there is certainly replay value. There are no actual spiders to be seen. either.

A young prince and young princess of marrying age are locked up in the dungeon on a strange island. They want to escape but they do not seem to care for each other. Helping eachother seems a foreign concept. Hence the trouble with royals causes trouble for royals.
This is a charming, clever, colorful, delightful, humorous gem of a game. A delightful romp, if a bit short.

An excellent game within a uniquely told Adventure. You are off in search of 5 missing scientists…
The Story: Were there extraterrestrial beings on earth thousands of years ago? This game's story mixes scientific evidence with possible proof and conjecture in five different places around the globe. The core story is complete.
The setting: The music, stunning artwork, and atmosphere change appropriately for each location. A lot of attention went into the realistic details in each place. You will meet some interesting characters along the way.
The Game Play: • The game has a Widescreen option and voice overs. • Two play modes -- casual and advanced (slower refresh time for hints and puzzle skips). • H0G scenes have an interactive component. They are junk pile and require a good eye. • Mini games -- Some simple, some challenging, some unique -- a good mix. • Adventuring -- each location is self contained but there is lots to accomplish within each one. • Inventory items -- be prepared to move your cursor everywhere, explore everything. • Diary -- not exactly; important data is saved in a communications device, different and well implemented. • Built in help system -- For H0G scenes you are shown a hidden item. For tasks, the help system offers a multiple choice of "what do you want to know" options. Nice.
Collector's Edition content: • The Strategy Guide is adequate but not great. Accessible from the game, but some puzzles which would benefit from video solutions only show the final solution screen shot. • Concept Art and character drawings. • 5 Soundtracks than cannot be saved. * Bonus Chapter -- It was as well done as the core game. Basically, a separate story. But it was rather short. One challenging type of puzzle repeated 3 times, others were pretty simple. Several H0G scenes. If you liked the game play n the core game, there's nothing to dislike about the bonus chapter.
Overall, I thought this game was as good or better than many. I liked the inclusion of real history and would like to see more games structured this way.

…the artwork is oh so stunning to behold. The story is curious and will keep your interest. it is many hours of game play, enjoyable to the end. Truly, this is a lovely game in most regards.
Game play: • Primarily a FROG (fragmented hidden objects) with some traditional hidden object scenes as well. • 20 Morphing Objects -- find them to speed up hint refills. • Adventure was not a brain drain at all. • Some of the puzzles were clever, but most did not use much gray matter. • The core mystery comes to an acceptable conclusion. • The bonus chapter was a bit weak.
CE bonus chapter: The bonus chapter is short, very heavy on the FROG scenes which repeat locations. The puzzles are not new in concept, the tasks are simple. You will visit a different area of the Nightingale, just as artfully drawn. The characters were followed a tad more, a new one was added.
Hmm. could there be upcoming performances at the Nightingale Theater????????????
