I was sooo prepared to be enchanted by this game. The graphics were nice, the sprouts were adorable, (the newly-hatched sproutlings were so freaking cute!) and the concept was interesting. I liked how they would play together if you dragged more than one of them onto the mushroom ball.
My main issue was the time it took to build things. Say they'd need a hut to sleep in when they got tired, so you'd have them build one. It would take at least three of them, working in shifts non-stop, like a sprout *week* (15-20 minutes) to complete the thing. In the meantime you couldn't really have them do anything else, except swap out with someone else so they could eat or fill one of their other need meters. (This meant wandering around a field trying to find butterflies, stones, or flowers.) Then it was back to the salt mines, poor little things. When they finally finished the hut and started building a bridge, I just couldn't do it anymore.
Not as big of a deal, but the narrator, who also voiced the sprouts, either had a horrible cold or pretty epic sinus problems. I can totally relate - those are awful. But it made for a distracting voice actor.
I don't recommend this game.

Time Management Game Has Too Much to Manage, Not Enough Time

I love a good time management game that makes me have to plan and use power-ups and combos. Sadly, this game wasn't it. The pace was so fast, and there were so many things going on at one time that I didn't really have time to develop a strategy. I just felt like I was clicking as quickly as I could to beat the clock, which wasn't very rewarding.
Also, if I spent my profit on quicker service, there wasn't enough to upgrade my clinics; but if I spent the money on better rooms (which allowed quicker upgrades) the non-souped-up characters moved so slowly that patients stormed out of the hospital left and right.
The premise is good, some of the ailments are entertaining (if that even sounds right), the locations and their accompanying music are cool too. There just needs to be more balance in the game play, in my opinion. If it's going to be a time management game, it either needs to have less to manage, more time to manage it, or some cheats that make it more than a "click as fast as you can and hope for the best" kind of experience.
I adore this game and have played it over and over for years. The sproinklings have been living underground for centuries after a meteor destroyed the surface of their planet. They've finally run out of supplies and must attempt to get back to the surface at last. It's a match 3 game, so on each level, you must clear three or more crystals of the same color so they don't cause a cave-in while the cute little sproinklings are trying to transport groups at a time.
The levels are challenging, the graphics are really nice, and there are lots of powerups and special tools the sproinklings can use to clear the caves.
If you're about to cause a cave-in, you can restart the level, and once you've completed the game you can go back and play individual levels without having to start all over again from level 1.
Also, the ending scene is worth the price of admission. I'm not even a big match 3 game fan, but I adore my sproinklings!
I really enjoy playing this game. The characters are cute, their customization options make me chuckle, and the storyline is engaging. I've replayed it dozens of times to try and beat the Developer's Time, and I give a little "woop!" every time "Beaten!" gets slapped across the DT.
The shaman and his sleepy gremlins must rescue the four elements, and they each have their tasks to perform to achieve this goal. I like the four different background settings (but the spiders give me the creeps!)
With that being said, there are a few things that frustrate me. There is no in-game timer so you can actually see what your current playing time is. You have to wait until you've completed the level to see what your time was, which is kind of a thing if you're trying to beat the DT. There is also no in-game indicator to show which level you're on. It's not the end of the world, but it would be nice to see that somewhere on the screen while you're playing the level. The dialogue can be really adorable, but it would be nice to have an option to turn it off so you don't have to keep scrolling through it when you replay. My biggest peeve is that you can't turn off the tutorial. If you want to replay the game often, or focus on beating the DT, as I mentioned earlier, it's frustrating to have to keep stopping the game for mandatory instruction breaks on stuff you already know how to do.
Overall, I really do love this game, and only give it four instead of five stars because of the things I mentioned. As a player who likes to replay games and try to beat high scores, those issues can really be irritating. Nonetheless, the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion, and I definitely recommend this game.
I love this game! It's the first one I've seen in a very long time to deviate from the basic game scheme. It's basically Tiny Worlds with a different plot, and I loved that game too! The sheep are adorable, the villains make you snicker, the levels get progressively more challenging as you travel through each section of the adventure, and the bonus levels are hilarious! I even like the main screen where you can fix up the farm: the sheep are so cute engaging in the activities of their pimped out farm, and the music is so relaxing.
The graphics are silly and I found myself laughing over and over at the driving sheep and turbo sheep. My only regret is that this game didn't last longer.
