This looked like it was going to be soo much fun, but it was sooooo not! The artwork was very cute, even the music was ok (kind of a "cutesy" Renaissance Faire sound), but sheer frustration beyond that! The objects were so small, you often would need to click on them several times in order to pick them up. The "gears for the boat" task was the last straw for me! If you didn't drop it down in the exact spot then you would need to pick it back up and try again, and again, and again! For me it's a big NO...but maybe I just didn't try hard enough. Please demo this before buying!
Although there are some HO's (about a dozen), this game is mostly made up of Puzzle/Adventure fun... so count me in!!! There are 3 levels: Casual, Expert, and Hardcore (I usually start on the Beginning level to get a feel for the game, but am excited to give Hardcore a try!) The graphics and artwork are great, the story is interesting (I like period pieces), and even the music and sound effects are enjoyable (I usually mute the volume)! If you like P/A/HO games, but are tired of seeing mostly HO's, I think you'll be happy with this one!!!
What a GREAT game! I think that Midnight Mysteries may have surpassed MCF! The puzzles are fresh, the HO's are fun, the adventure aspect is not a "back and forth" relay race... it's all great! And I love the historical value of the Midnight Mysteries games!
The demo really drew me in, thought it was going to be on my "fav" list... but no, it's just average. This game had so much potential, and if they had put in just a tad more effort I think it would have been GREAT! On the sequel, I'll probably buy the SE, but definitely not spend the extra bucks on CE! By the way, if you don't like "pipe" style games, you may want to take a pass... there are a number of those puzzles.
I recommend this game!

Hexalot
As Merlin, it's up to you to build bridges across treacherous puzzlescapes and bring the Knights back to Hexalot.
This is an older puzzle game, but I thoroughly enjoy it! The concept is basically to go from point A to point B using the appropriate colored tiles (hexagons) in order to pass each level. It takes up very little space on my hard drive, so I just leave it up all the time (it creates a nice diversion from the norm). It starts off very easy and gets increasingly difficult, it also has great replay value if you like to better your score. Play for hours or just a minute, it will save your game from wherever you choose to stop. The music is a loop, so I always just mute it. If you like logic puzzles, and don't have to have all the new "bells and whistles" to be entertained, I think you should give this a try!
Beautiful artwork, nice background sound and music, great blend of HO's and puzzles and interesting storyline... what's not to love!!! And with the achievements, it has replay value! My only regret... I didn't buy the CE!!!
I really enjoyed the art and story-line of this game! FrOG's aren't my thing, but this was ok. The mini-games were simple but different from what we usually see. A couple of complaints: too many FrOG's, the map was helpful but not interactive, and if the building is condemned why do we keep running into these random people! For the most part, it was enjoyable!
In my opinion this game is a basic adventure game with HO's. At first I was confused with the directions, but after I went back and forth a few times, I figured out how to find my way around. I like games that are based on history, but this didn't really get into the actual history of the Salem witch trials. I also felt very lonely, meandering through the streets, never seeing anyone. When I finally did find some girls, they had annoying voices. This game probably won't be enjoyed by everyone, so definitely play the demo before buying!
I recommend this game!

Spirit Seasons: Little Ghost Story
Explore the Blindhill Place manor and meet the ghost of Agatha, a young girl who is haunting the huge mansion!
I first played this game in the casual mode, and it was quite easy. Then I played it in the expert mode and it was more challenging, even the puzzles were a bit more difficult (I wish I had started in expert). Interesting story with a little twist at the end. Some of the vocab was wrong and misspelled words in HO's, but it was well worth the DD price.
I don't normally play time management games, but Royal Envoy and Royal Envoy 2 are unique. Pure entertainment! There is some strategy involved, but mostly they are just for giggles.
