Not really understanding the love for this game. Major lag time between actions, rather poor translations (usually I can overlook this but really, folks, you can source this for about $10/hour) but what really put me off is the flag puzzle. So, the answer for the USA is MONEY? What the heck is the deal with that? :suspicious: So then why not make the answer for Japan slaughtered dolphins? Or for Germany or Egypt slaughtered people? I don't know what country these developers hail from or why they seem to equate the importance of the USA with only money, but this game is a serious NO for me. I played on for another 30 minutes or so but since there was still nothing else redeeming here I just could not overlook that insult. Enjoy if you can folks!!

Yeah, graphics/drawn art was rather off in many instances but since it really all comes down to game play, I just ain't feelin' it. What is with that map?! No help at all; a huge let-down. Why would they think bars to the left right or middle were going to be helpful? And then when I went to an area with a supposed task, there was nothing to do and hint pointed me elsewhere. This is just bad design.
So let's move on to the gameplay. Ya know what, this so much stinks from the original series that I don't know where to begin. Sure, none of us expects static repetitive HOS scenes ending in really cool multi-logic puzzles to entertain us anymore...alright, we probably don't want the static scenery but for the rest of the gameplay - oh yes, I think I do.
Please dump Eipix and please bring back the really good logic puzzles; I so miss them.
I don't recommend this game.

"I am whole and in control" I need more wine with this cheese
And so another great series comes crashing down around our ears. Granted, the slow slide down the hill has been happening ever since Eipix took this over but this one just puts the nail in the coffin. To start, I bought this game and this is a review well beyond the demo. So first, the story makes zero sense. Zero. Then there's the FROGs - look, pieces are supposed to be difficult to find, but not impossible-morphed-into-the-background or stuck into the corner frustration. And the puzzles - you have a choice of either silly simple, or the instructions are really confusing, or the strategy guide is confusing, but all ends in being annoyed. Collectibles are about impossible to locate as are the Parable pieces. Did any Eipix people actually PLAY the originals? Obviously not. Look, this series was difficult in a completely different way which was challenging and fun, but that's all lost now. Always try for yourselves but for me this is a very sad end to a very fun and challenging series.

This is just a lovely game - no bells and whistles (or junk that I don't want anyway) yet still better game play than most of the CE's released this year. Granted, the mini-game after making a spell gets old, but all other aspects of this game are just great. Huzzah!!

Review of completed game : Disappointing. Graphics are lovely and in the beginning HOS are varied and enjoyable. That's where it stops. The rest of the game is covered in HOS, mostly straight lists with a little interaction here and there. I find this many search scenes really takes away from the flow of a game and I often found myself walking away screaming in frustration. The earlier games had intrigue and mystery but this one really does not. The story is just...odd. And the ending is a big "what?" as though the devs tired themselves out from writing so many search scenes that they forgot what in the world the story was. I actually enjoyed the bonus game more than the main game. And the extras are pretty pathetic (you'll understand after you play the souvenir search). Try for yourselves of course!

I had a lovely time playing this game; beautiful artwork, good puzzles admittedly nothing special but fit with your current tasks. My favorite were the HOS which were few (really ok with me) but really creative. And I even enjoyed my helper. Well done!!
I am totally enjoying this game. While it might seem simple at first, it quickly becomes challenging but not to the point of utter frustration. I'm having a blast!
Call me a bit silly, but I always enjoy games in this series from EleFun. It won't stretch your brain for sure, but I truly enjoy the little interactive things they add to scenes. Like I said, that might sound silly. I also like our heroine and the job she has accepted; the objects you will interact with and the imaginary worlds you are taken to are well done.
And I do really enjoy the HOS and the mini-games from EleFun. They are just challenging enough and perfect for me for a lazy Sunday when I just want to let the dust bunnies scurry past and plot my demise...
Wow - way to go Mad Head Team!! Thank you for giving us something different and refreshing even if it is on the easy side (kind of "adventure lite"). There are so few of these types of offerings on BF that I snatched it up right away (and willingly handed over cash) and was not disappointed. Looking forward to the final installment.
Well this was a rather different story, which I found appealing so I purchased. What does not become appealing is the game play. It's just ok; lots of "find this to fix that" (oh, and there's even a missing zipper pull, fantastic; the universe must be full of lost socks and zipper pulls) which is all fine for a casual game, really it is, I just felt like this could have been better. It was also rather short at a little over 3 hours for the main game (I play on Custom with very little help at all) which was also disappointing. I dunno - this really is a try for yourselves fellow Pond Dwellers.
