Big problem with this game is in EVERY scene/investigation you are searching for the exact same items 99% of the time. Each scene investigation is played out somewhat differently to a degree and it may throw in 1 new item but every investigation is sooooo very repetitious is becomes boring really fast. It coulda been very fun and intriguing, considering the subject matter but this repetition literally kills it.
I don't recommend this game.

I had played the other titles in this series and decided to try number 1 and use up a credit. Should have "sampled" it first. Although it looks a bit like the others graphically it plays less enjoyable. Every time you click a dream piece you get a darn pop-up describing it and it halts the flow of the game. After a short while I stopped clicking on them because it was so annoying. Collecting the pieces in fact does nothing to add to the game at all except add points in the end. The game itself to me flows very sluggishly and becomes boring and repetitive unlike the others in the series. Sample before you buy and I highly advise to skip this one and start off with DC2.
The game is mediocre at best and that is on the "new levels" only as you are CONSTANTLY having to go back to prior levels and do the same thing over and over and over again. I love search games but this one makes me kinda hate em. Not only are you going back multiple times to do the same thing but the graphics are very poor. If you are familiar with the term "blob squatch" this game is riddled with them. 80% of the items you need to find look nothing like what they are supposed to be. Items hidden in dark corners with only one small dot of discoloration to set it apart from the darkness. Never have I played a game that I had to use the hint button so many times and not because they are cleverly hidden but because the graphic on each item is so poorly rendered it blends in with the background. So it really is not hidden but in a way disappears into the background making it not fun but pure frustration and would rather hint my way out than lose my eyesight straining to see the items. New levels are OK when you need to escape a room because they are indeed puzzles but other than that it is pure repetition to the point of being monotonous and not fun at all.
