This game is very much like the original Country Tales. It's a ton of fun, the graphics are good, and so is the music.
However... I also can't figure out how to build the doctor's office on Bonus Level 9. The option for "special" buildings does not light up, so you can't get to the doctor's office.
A walk-through or strategy guide sure would be nice!
I always love these games and this one is no exception! Even without the "gear" option, it's fun...
... which brings me to my only complaint. I like to play these games in untimed mode... won't bother to explain why, just a preference. However, in untimed mode, apparently you don't get the gear! Every chest I've opened that is supposed to have gear in it has something else... like 30 wood or what-have-you.
The Rescue Team never disappoints! Yes, it's very like the others with a few added changes, but it's fun! I purchased this game without even trying the free beginning knowing that I would be in for a good time and I wasn't wrong. There are some oddities that take a little figuring out (especially if you turn the hints off from the beginning)... such as having to search the buildings in one level... literally... there are two houses you have to have the FBI agent search... but that only makes it more interesting. You can't go wrong with the Rescue games!
I had really hoped to like this game as the story sounded ok and I'm out of games at the moment... but I found it about as exciting as watching paint dry.
You're a builder going out to make a name for yourself in the city. Then a magical being shows up and hints around at some sort of possible battle and having another female builder help you. The usual story. At this point I was at level 9 or 10 (couldn't really tell which) and the game timed out of the free trial.
It does have 3 timing levels, including the one that lets you take as much time as you want to play. (That's what I usually use for reasons of my own.) However, the items take a LONG time to spawn and it's a basic "fetch and carry" with the added "do I need to build a gold building or a food building... I get one or two of the 3 (food, gold, wood)... and will probably have to tear one down" type addition.
The story line isn't enough to hold attention and I often found myself wondering "who cares?" as I played.
Some may find this game entertaining... I am not one. But, as I always say, try it for yourself. Your opinion could be different.
It's been a little over a year since I purchased the last one of these. I took a chance and purchased this one without doing the trial first. It doesn't disappoint.
I do wish, however, that they had a way to tell if you got all the "hidden" coins and other items that are on every scene.
Wow! The last one of these I purchased was number 2 in 2020! It's a fun little game... nothing fantastic, but a pleasant time passer. Sometimes it seems that the items take too long to respawn and I had one level I had to start over a number of times before I figured out I stupidly wasn't building one of the buildings when I should have... but good fun. No problems running it at all.
I purchased this game without even trying it first... and, as always, it does not disappoint! While there are not a whole lot of new things, the fast, fun play is still present along with the crazy story line and interesting challenges they all have.
It's cute... but the monkey sounds are annoying. There's a lot to do... but item spawning takes forever and can cost you a star. It plays like a game for kids, but the timer is fast. When you go through the ten first levels and are already getting one or two stars (max is 3), there's a problem. There is no "relax" level, so you have to play timed. What story line is there is mostly "we lost our friends". Honestly, I was a little amused, but mostly bored.
This is a very familiar game with a Yuletide twist. There haven't been many changes and - though it may be my imagination - it seems that it takes items a little longer to spawn. Still, it's great fun ... one of those "if you liked the other games, you'll like this one, too".
The story is a little slow to get started, but picks up the more you play.
Some may find this game too much like the others, but I'm having a blast with it. There are some minor changes, but the story-line is fun and the action keeps going without much "hanging around" waiting for items to spawn. If you liked the others, you'll like this one, too!
