I bought this game a couple years ago and am still waiting for the rest of it to become available. I hadn't played it in a long time, but as there are no good new TM games showing up, I revisit the ones I've already bought. At first I didn't take time to really understand things, I just played. Then slowly my lil pea brain figured out that I could build up my gems to get the power up for seeing the items in the bonus task more easily. I found that on almost all levels I did not need to use ANY power up to finish the game in gold with all bonus tasks met. Granted there are a very few levels i wasn't able to finish with gold, but only because I was waiting for one of those darn cats to appear...lol. And there is a level or two that I did need a multiplier to get the number of stones needed to complete a level...but that hardly hurt the amount of gems I had accumulated. But the game changer for me was finally realizing the value of the warehouse! Not only does it give you extra space, but most importantly it adds to the amount of each pile of wood, food, gold etc. So I would build the warehouse before all else, let it completely build before picking up anything else to get extra in each pile. Makes a huge difference going from 3 of something to 4 or 5 instead. Of course not all levels have the warehouse. I don't play with sound, and I skip the storyline...all I want to do is play, so I give no rating for those areas. But all in all, this is a very good little game and my only serious criticism is WHERE IS THE NEXT ONE???
am so disappointed. no fun, boring, stupid jiggling cards, sloppy cursor, have to click cards multiple times before being accepted, no rhythm to it... didn't have to play long before i deleted it from the game manager. i do NOT recommend this game.

the best i can say about this game is...Ho Hum... not a 'bad' game, but not all that fun. it plays very slow, then you come to the desert where because of the heat, it goes even slower. i don't think the resources and the bonuses are sync'd right either. you are always just that bit too short of time to make it work to your advantage. it had a few levels where you could get gold without too much trouble, but for most of them, for me, i was hard pressed to get one star. i don't play with sound so i can't comment on that. the visual quality was fine. i was pretty bored with this game after the first few levels, and watched tv while playing. when it becomes obvious that there is no way for me to 'beat' the levels with gold, i lose interest. which is why the low rating.
too bad the developers didn't put enough effort into this game to make it better. if you have an extra credit or a good deal, then go ahead and buy the game. but i'm not sure it's worth even the $2.99 sale...
gotta ask the developers if they actually shelved their egos and played this game before sending off to be bought... one of the worst TM games i've played yet. there's too much similarity between buildings for me to quickly decide what i need to build. there isn't any 'stacking', way too much clicking, and there is just too much you have to do to get anything accomplished. i like simple. i don't like complex in this type of game. if i want to use my brain i get strategy games. i want to be able to look at the scene and be able to figure it out immediately, or in short time. when you play a game that is timed, you can't waste the clock having to figure out what you need and how to get it every step of the way.
this is a no go for me...wish i'd figured it out before i bought it.
ruins this game for me! i can't get past the first half dozen parts as the cursor control make it too difficult. also, when hovering on an item to pick up, it may take 3 or 4 tries before it actually gets added to your inventory. the developers need to do something about the sloppy control.
I don't recommend this game.

i realize this is a TD game...but it just misses the mark for me. i bought it on the strength of the first two, TD 2 being the better. and i love fantasy and fairy tales, but this game is just boring. i enjoyed the 'little green men' and the way those first games were played much more than this one. it just lacked the 'can't wait to play' aspect i found with the others. i wish i'd played the demo longer as i would have realized it doesn't hold the same appeal as the first two...i certainly wouldn't have wasted a credit on it if i had. for some people this game will be just fine, so i will recommend it, as it isn't really bad, just not as good as the first two.

this game is confusing to rate. it is challenging, but the rating factor is geared to your liking it rather than the amount of challenge in the game. this game has a lot of challenge, but only because there is limited explanation of what to do or how to do it.
it is more unique than most games, so that's a plus. there is a high level of interaction, also a plus...but since you have little or no instruction, you end up running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. i ended up having my daughter look up the walk through for the game so i could get a little help...otherwise i'd never figure it out.
it is fun, because it is so unique. i like finding out what comes next in any game. but because of the lack of instructions, i can't give it a very high fun factor rating...it's never fun to not know what you're doing.
the graphics were wonderful. kinda like a disney thing in places. i did buy the game as i have the walk through...without it, not a chance. i'm at odds as to whether to recommend it...

what's the point of having extra light and a magnifying glass that don't help and actually make it worse? you can't find what you're looking for because you can't SEE what you're looking for! if you're going to give us a magnifying glass to find the objects because they were purposely made so tiny, then give us one that is usable. better yet, discard the darn thing altogether and just give us a screen where it isn't necessary... this game was a big let down. don't waste your time or credits on this one, even with a discount. very poorly done.

i survived through every bit of 6 minutes of this game. i hated it. the graphics were bad, the scenes were rotten and there was absolutely nothing about this game that made me want to play. i can't figure out why so many people liked it.

i was bumfuzzled at first when the download said 'free trial' instead of '60 minutes'...didn't know just what that difference meant until i went as far as possible in the demo. was pleased to be able to go back in under a different name and replay the game regardless of how long it took. wonderful idea guys! this way, you don't have to miss interesting details, skip harder puzzles or cutscenes and dialog in order to go as far as possible. it also allows you to really get a good idea of whether or not it's a game you want to buy. KUDOS Elephant guys! not only are your games good to look at, with interesting story lines and fun to play, but now i don't have to rush the demo...yeah!
