Every once in a blue moon, Big Fish offers a gem of a game and Leaves is one of them.
If you like hand-holding, cutsie helpers, hints, supernatural stories, etc.....this is NOT a game for you.
but....
If you like the Tiny Bang type of game, like using your little gray cells and have the patience to figure out the puzzles and your next move, you will love this game. Guaranteed!
This is an excellent game in its ingenious simplicity. None of the frills and never-ending "talkers" or "fillers" that, in my opinion, ruin so many games nowadays.
Excellent map Excellent hints Excellent music Excellent story (not that I usually care about storylines) Excellent graphics - they are beautiful Excellent and logical gameplay which allows the player to think
Simply, an excellent game and I welcome more of the same.
I was planning to dump this game after ten minutes of playing but decided to keep at it another ten minutes and by then I was hooked.
Yes, the interface is clunky to say the least by today's standards, but the rest of the game makes up for this. Good music, no "messy" or "overdone" scenes like most games today (where I give up playing because there's just too much nonsense).
I like a clean game with just a few things to do in each scene and this game provides that.
Good map and hint system and there is a collectable which I like (thank you devs for not making it into a horrible morphing thing).
A simple, realaxing game well worth a punch card code if you give it a chance.
I don't want a story. I don't want pretty colors. I don't need the pattern to mean anything. I don't want ANY of the squares filled in automatically. I want simplicity. I want a good challenge. I want the chance to use my brain. I want my three gold stars on every puzzle (yes, it's possible).
This game is not for those who like handholding, walkthroughs, sparkles, junkpiles, and cutsie helpers.
This game is for those who love to think and use logic, love a challenge, a good story with an excellent storyteller voice, suitable music, a different type of game play.
I almost want to say this game separates the men from the boys...LOL... I'll suffice it to say this game separates the players from the players.
I didn't play this game straight through. I couldn't. I would do one little area and leave it for a while or even until the next day, come back and notice what I had missed. This game made me want to finish the challenge it posed.
I hope the developers come out with more games like this. The scenes are not overcrowded with things to do...excellent! FEW junk piles (don't think the reviewer claiming too many played the same game). Excellent map and hint system. Good storyline with little talk/cut-scenes (THANK YOU!!!) No hand-holding. No frills. Just excellent game play. The graphics are outstanding. Better a short but well-made game than a long and tedious game I end up deleting half-way through.
This game allows the use of logic to solve the puzzles...a must when it comes to excellent nanogram games. I've played half of the game and do allow myself mistakes, yet I've only used five hints so far.
