This is NOT a hidden object game. If that is the type game you want to play, this is not the game for you.
Puzzle game only - just what I have wanted to play. For me, the fun parts of the HO games are the puzzles. I never read the stories or follow along with them and always play on mute.
I think the ones with the poor reviews did not take the time to look around and find the clues. This is not a game for those that just like to speed through games.
I thought I was stuck at Baphomet and could not skip the puzzle. It is NOT a flaw in the game, you have to figure out where to get the 2nd scroll.
Skips and hint buttons are there but do not play if you use them frequently in other games. This is actually a thinking game.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I download a fairly high number of games yearly and MCF is on the top of my list of games to buy. I buy any game they put out all most the same day. Do not waste your money on this one. No hidden object stuff, games are too easy and I did not find this one challenging at all. I bought the collectors edition. Save your money and buy the regular version if you just have to have it.
