i played casual and no sound but the graphics were great. the hint/skip buttons charge fast. the hints tell where to go but not always enough as to what to do. you need to find a slew of "secret doves" as you play. they can be in pictures, drawn somewhere or as part of a scene. they are not hard to overlook if you are concentrating on the game. i went back a few times and found some i didn't see before. there is a journal but no map and you could use it in this game because of the broad area, even if it wouldn't have been interactive.
I recommend this game!

Detective Quest: The Crystal Slipper Collector's Edition
Push your detective skills to the limit in a fantastical faraway land and find a prince's lost love.
i really liked this game. you had objects to place in the scenes instead of finding them so i guess you can't say HO scenes. there is a map that is interactive and that is good because there is a lot of back and forth. the skip/hint button charges fast and the hints tell you where to go and hold your hand if you wish. i played casual and no sound but the graphics are awesome and the scenes are not really crowded. most of the objects are placed in logical places.

Holiday Bonus Gold
Chill out with this winter-themed puzzle game as you line up shapes and work your way up the decorated tree.
there are 2 ways to play...classic and gold. 55 levels in each and none of them are really hard. the music got kind of boring but not too bad and you can cut it down. there is a hint button if you get stuck but i only used it twice. the power ups per se but still is a fun game. untimed as far as having to get done in a certain amount of time, but the timer does keep count of how long it takes you to do a level. you can also set the different screens that come up every 5 levels you complete as desktop wallpaper and they are pretty.

Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price Of A Rose
To save her father, Bella vowed to stay with the beast, but is he truly evil? Help Bella follow her heart!
it is the story of beauty and the beast-twisted. but not in a bad way. there is a journal and an interactive map that will transport you once you have visited a place. the hints charge fast and the graphics are wonderful and the scenes are not crowded. i thought it was an enjoyable game and there is a very wide-spread area so that map comes in handy. played casual

Phantasmat
After crashing your car in the middle of nowhere, you stumble upon a mysterious town with a shady background. Solve a dark mystery!
this game was one of the harder ones i have played. the HO scenes can be toggled back and forth with M3 games. hints take as long as 3 minutes to charge but seldom was that a problem because you can always look elsewhere and come back. did have to go to the walkthrough more than i would have liked. most actions were logical and there wasn't a map so make sure you remember where things are.

Tearstone
Set off on an adventure and help your professor with a mysterious discovery in Tearstone, a fun Hidden Object game!
it was a good game but i had to consult the walkthrough a lot. the hint/skip charged slowly for me. some of the items you needed to find were very small. you had to be very precise to pick things up and click on things. more so than i liked. there isn't a map but that is not really a problem. there is a journal. each chapter is in and of itself. what i did hear of the music was typical for this kind of game. i played casual.

Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden
Find your missing fiancé in the deepest parts of the ocean. Discover the forgotten underwater city hiding many spine-chilling secrets.
i played casual. no sound. graphics are good. the story is typical. your friend is lost underwater and you try to find him and when you do he is under a spell that controls the mind. you find another that you have trusted the same way. the kids are trapped in this underwater world. you need to save the adults and the kids. there is a diary and the hint/skip button charge fast. had to skip most mini games. the hints tell you where to go and what to do. set up for a sequel but not the one i would have thought. kept waiting for it to happen and something else did.

Twilight Phenomena: The Lodgers of House 13
An evil villain is luring people to his beautiful mansion and preparing them for a terrible ritual. Can you keep your head on the shoulders?
this game was harder than most of the games i have been playing lately. i had to cheat quite often. i missed the things i needed to do. i played casual and the hints/skips took a little longer to charge than some of the others. not ridiculously longer in casual just longer than the others i have been playing. the game is about a mad scientist that uses people's heads to become more intelligent. you come across these and it is sort of creepy. graphics were good and i didn't use sound.

Faded Reality
Help Monica solve the deadly mystery of an experiment that has gone wrong!
i like this game. you are a person who has cornea implants and are seeing out of your eyes as if you are the donor. the graphics are good, but the items are small in some of the HO scenes and hard to see due to the size. most of the scenes are light, not the dark and dreary we are used to. the mini games are not too hard. most of them are of a solitaire variation. the others involve lighting up the scene. the hints and skips charge fast. i played casual. no sound.

Sable Maze: Sullivan River
Unearth your forgotten childhood memories to reveal the secret of the ancient labyrinth.
it is just a personal thing, i believe. hints/skips charge pretty fast and the hints help to tell you where to go. there is a map and diary. no sound for me. graphics were good. i played on casual. i just didn't like it for some reason, but i played it to the end. don't let my review put you off it. i am sure there are many others that will like it.
