This game completely caught me off guard and I not only embraced the whole concept...I gobbled it up. Fun, fun, fun! Yes you have to think, yes the puzzles are uber easy, yes the music is horrendous & yes their are no hints. BUT one must try it out before tossing the thought aside, as I almost mistakenly did.
I had to give this one 5 stars as the storyline, visual/sound quality and fun factor were top notch. I couldn't help but think this was a CE and even looked for the bonus game at the end! I enjoyed the additional HO's (even inside other HOG's) that a keen eye could find thru-out the game. There were a few areas that required a good ol' thinking cap, but it mostly breezed along with enough twists & turns to keep the mind engaged.
Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse Collector's Edition had me intrigued by the first 5 minutes and hooked in 10. This game utilized all of the elements of needed to make one superior package in the HOG's genre: Unique story line, fine graphics, great sound quality, excellent mini-games that didn't become tedious & some really worked out that ol' gray matter. I purchased the full CE game before I even finished the demo...that doesn't happen often. My fingers are crossed that part two is already in the making...
Nightfall Mysteries: Black Heart Collector's Edition was pure genius and well thought out. All of the elements of a superb, thought-provoking & challenging game are included. The HOG's were just the right amount without being overbearing. Many of the mini-games were unique in nature & not repetitive (love that!) Voice-overs were well-placed, good quality and not lengthy. The map was a bonus & the objects collected along the way made logical sense when placing them. No complaints here!
I....LOVED...THIS...GAME! 9: The Dark Side CE is the most skillfully designed game I have played since being hooked by Big Fish. Where to begin: Graphics - superb, HOG's - just the right amount without hitting "HOG Overload", Mini-games - absolute brain-torture delight & of course there are all of the elements to make this a CE game: Long, satisfying Bonus Play, Challenge Level options, Smooth voice-overs, Strategy Guide (if needed!) & even a choice of language. PLEASE MAKE MORE GAMES LIKE THIS! I didn't want the adventure to end...
All the fine qualities wrapped up in one sweet package

If you enjoy a challenge, a haunting tale, superb graphics & music that you will want to listen to, then you will enjoy the Rise of the Snow Queen. All of the elements that deserve to be part of the Collector's Edition: Three levels of difficulty, portholes, hidden doors to other locations, a twist on the traditional HOS, many mini-games, morphing objects, a map, original scenes and excellent voice-over...you will be not be disappointed. Bonus Play was a pre-quel to the main game & explained a crucial key character's origin. Only one eensy downside (if I would even call it that) is that some of the mini-games are repeated several times. However it can easily be forgiven as this is top-notch!
While this game met the criteria for a basic edition (Good Plot, Challenging HOGs, great imagination for Inventory Items,) it lacked the essentials for a great CE Adventure. Mini-games more time-consuming than thought-provoking, "music" was, well...turned off after 5 minutes, skill level not an option, graphics were just average & the Bonus Feature seemed more like a quick arriere-pensee. I wanted to love it, but I couldn't really sink my teeth into it. I was looking forward to the end, instead of relishing the play.
This game surpassed my expections! The story line was intriguing, the mini-games were wickedly fun & the bonus gameplay gave it an extra punch. My gray matter didn't even know it was being given a good work-out.
