Way back when this game first came out, I was intrigued. I had always loved Nancy Drew books, and had recently gotten into casual gaming. Five minutes into this game I fell in love and was ecstatic to learn that there were more games in the series! I have played every other game since, and anxiously await new releases. I loved the allure of "old-timey train", the "ghost" story (I'm fascinated by the paranormal), the challenging (yet not TOO challenging) puzzles, the music, the characters, the plot, the in-game hint system that doesn't just spit out answers. I really don't have any complaints about this one. Always my favorite Nancy Drew game, because it's the one that started it all for me!

After my disappointment in the previous Azada game (In Libro), I was very hesitant to give this one a chance. But I played the demo and was hooked almost instantly! I knew within the first 5 minutes that I would be buying the game. While it's true that the Azada of yore is no longer the style of game that the series has become, this is a wonderful direction to take.
PROS: Graphics were great, the level of challenge was just right for me. It's much longer than I expected, which is a nice surprise!
CONS: The voice acting wasn't all that great. Half of the characters were saying the villain's name one way, half the other. I noticed a lot of mistakes in the dialogue as well. Sound quality of the voices varied but wasn't very optimal.
All in all, a great game.. I am back on the Azada train!

Midnight Mysteries is one of my two favorite BFG game series (the other being Mystery Case Files). I was a bit apprehensive, since I had just been burned when by my beloved Azada completely disappointed me with their third installment.. but Haunted Houdini was a great followup to the previous Midnight Mysteries games. While it wasn't my favorite of the series, I still loved this game. It was long enough, awards are back (which give the game replayability value), and the storyline is awesome as usual. I love games that delve into the macabre, so this series has always been a go-to for me. Graphics were on point, and there were no glitches or mistakes. I definitely recommend Haunted Houdini and every single one of the other Midnight Mysteries games... so what are you waiting for? PLAY THEM! lol ;)
I was really looking forward to playing this game, but it hasn't proven to be worthy of the name "Azada". It's not a terrible game in and of itself, but it isn't something I would've downloaded if I had known how underwhelmed it would make me.
PROS: Graphics are nice. I like the story as well.
CONS: Too short. Puzzles aren't challenging enough for me. Voice acting was terrible, and the production for the voices made it even worse- tinny, echoey, sounds like it was recorded in someone's bathroom in stead of a studio.
I am normally forgiving when it comes to games. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. What happened to this beloved series??
I sure am glad I used my punchcard credit for this, because if I had shelled out money I wouldn't be too happy. And I'm CERTAINLY glad I didn't get the collector's edition!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
I had my doubts about this one, because I wasn't a big fan of Dire Grove or the 13th Skull. I actually wasn't too crazy about Return to Ravenhearst, either, because it veered too much from the original MCF games (and probably because my old computer couldn't handle them, either). But now that it seems the series is going in this direction, I'm waaaay on board this time around! I love the morphing objects, actually. I am getting a bit sick of the standard hidden object scenes. They amped it up a bit and changed it around, and it's a welcome change, in my opinion. I'm probably about a third of the way into the game, and I know I've found a good game when all I can do at work the next day is sit and think about when I can return home and play some more! I love the creepiness, I love the antagonist's psychotic behavior. I haven't finished yet, but I love how he's putting us in "his shoes". Love the storyline, can't wait to finish it!

Hands down, this is my favorite Midnight Mysteries game. The first one (Edgar Allen Poe Conspiracy) was great, but this game is really when the series found its footing. I've played this one twice and will definitely go back for more in the future (I want to get all of the awards!). Gameplay is smooth, transitioning is natural. Definitely well-written, like the graphics, and hope that there are more in the future!

Midnight Mysteries is quickly becoming my favorite casual game series. Every game I have played has been worth downloading. I love that they've added awards, it gives the game even more replayability (is that a word? lol# than before. This one was creepier than previous games in the series, in my opinion #which I like). It ran beautifully on my computer- no glitches, no stutters. It had just enough of a challenge- not frustratingly difficult, not boringly easy. Even writing this review I'm thinking about playing it again when I get some free time! I highly recommend all of the Midnight Mysteries games!

I had originally installed this on my old computer and couldn't deal with how slow the game was running. When I got my brand spanking new, totally up-to-date computer, I figured I'd give this game another go. Still slow. I found on the forums that this was pretty typical of this game. I played it all the way through, but found myself getting very impatient. It's a shame, because otherwise it was a fun game. Creepy at times, too. If there is a sequel then hopefully they'll fix this deal-breaking bug.

This is a very creepy game. I am into that sort of thing, so it works for me, but this is not a game for children. I played this one first, then played the original one afterwards. I'm glad I did, because I hated the original one and probably wouldn't have played the sequel. I like the variety of puzzles, and the storyline was pretty good. It played very slow on my previous computer, but that's probably because it was an outdated computer.

I love this game. Normally I like darker games, but this one has a humor and whimsy in it that I also really enjoy. I laughed out loud many times (a cross-dressing pirate that winks at you in a hidden object scene? BWA HA HA!). I have played this through at least twice, and I will probably play it again in the near future. There is a diversity when it comes to the puzzles- sometimes when a game is all hidden object I get bored. Not true with this one. Sure, it's pretty much centered around hidden object, but there are so many other types of puzzles that it keeps it interesting.
