Two things about this game that will make me buy it;
1st: it is a fun and adventurous game and
2nd: It has a train in it and I'm a train nut!!

This is one of those games that really caught my eye. The story line is nice and progressing through the story is challenging, fun and not boring. It has it's share of HO's but they are not every two steps and they actually help you progress to the finale.
Graphics are good and colorful and well drawn and the characters are interesting and not overly comical. Their voices actually match the person.
True, it does jump back and forth but it is done tastefully and done to logically progress and not just to find something to open something else.
I'm also going to try the SE version to see which I should buy.
Definitely recommend this game to all you fun lovers out there.

Some games in this series are pretty nice-this isn't one of them.
Graphics are about average but the rest of the game leaves something to be desired. Could never get into the story with all the running back and forth to open things and get other things. I don't mind doing that but not this often. Gets boring.
HO's are pretty good and some of the puzzles are ok but that's about it.

Took me forever to exit out of the game indicating there is a glitch somewhere so I won't be playing this one again.
There are 2 types of games I don't care for, one is dark scenery and players, and cold, snowy weather. Neither one is necessary.
I don't recommend this game unless you enjoy boredom and not really getting anywhere,

I enjoyed this game but it is not quite 5 stars and most of that is the characters. They are mostly depicted as bumbling idiots with very annoying voices.
Other than that, the graphics are good but not great and the story line is pretty good. Again, another 'only you can save the world' thing but this one is done with taste. True, it does have a few quirky moments but they don't detract from the main story.
HO's are not difficult and, again, you aren't looking for completely useless junk.
I like the fact that it is not in some distant, dark, never heard of place and is actually a country everyone knows. Everything is period; the clothes, the buildings, the vehicles and, yes, even the mechanicals. I hate dark games and this one is above that.
I recommend this for all you non-dark HO livers out there. Play on and have fun!

This one had a pretty good opening sequence that peeked my interest but that's where it stopped. As soon as I got into playing, this turned into your typical boring HO game. No real excitement or story line and you have this assistant detective that continuously needs saving and adds nothing when he talks. The little helper is knida cute but I've seen cuter.
Graphics are a little grainy and could be better with just a little tweaking.
Of course you have ANOTHER female sorceress messing things up and making life miserable for everyone involved. Let's have more male demons in these games. Probably is about a 50/50 mix but it seems all the games I play are female.
Some out there will like this game as is evidenced by the 5 star ratings and that's fine but not for me.
Another recommendation with reservations, some will like it, some won't. I'm in the not like column. But at least give it a chance before you decide.
I recommend this game!

For some reason I was able to play this demo twice. If I remember correctly, I didn't finish the first time and playing it again, I can understand why. This is a slow, tiring game. All you do is flit from area to area finding things to open other things and this dumb dog keeps sitting on things you need to open to progress.
Graphics are ok but not great and the characters need a lot of work to make them likable.
HO's are passable but just barely and need better graphics.
I couldn't get into the story either. Seems a little on the cartoonish side. You have this big "terrifying" monster who needs to make a list before he/she kills anyone so it looks like an accident. If the developers are going to put a monster or any evil being in their stories how about at least making them really scary, not cartoony.
I can't recommend this one at all but at least play the demo and decide for yourself.

This has to be one of the lamest time management games I have ever played. Don't understand any rating over 2 stars. The story goes nowhere as do the characters. Instructions are vague or non existent and the game is drawn so small it's hard for these aging eyes to see anything.
Some people might like this game but I am not one of them. I do not recommend.

I've played Gizmos before and didn't care for it but this one is different. Still annoying sounds and music, still annoying voices but I think the puzzles are better and they are interspersed with different games such as jigsaws which I thoroughly enjoy.
I like amusing, crazy games once in a while to take away the stress of the day and this one fills the bill. I will probably buy this one but have to think about it first.
If you like this type of fill in you will love this one. I recommend this game. Wish there were 1/2 star ratings because I would give this a 3 1/2 rating.

There is nothing really great about this game other than the graphics and the music. Graphics are well drawn and the movements aren't cartoonish. Of course there is that annoying little gnome/evil doer that keeps popping up and slows the game.
One thing about this game is, although it is a dark story with evil doers, the scenes were basically colorful and pleasant.
The music I actually enjoyed and I usually turn that down but didn't this time.

HO's were interesting and ranged from easy to more difficult but not impossible. Some of the mini games I didn't get or skipped because they were bothersome but not horrible.
I would recommend this with reservations in that it takes forever to progress and when the demo was over I felt as though I hadn't gotten anywhere. Some of you may like this slower pace but not me. Have fun if you do, skip it if you don't.
I recommend this game!

Liked the opening sequence quite a bit and I knew then this is a keeper.
Story does move a little slow but not to the point of monotony and you actually feel as though you are getting somewhere.
