This is another wonderful game from Playrix, but a couple things are bothering me, and it's enough to keep me from giving it five stars.
1) When you're stuck on an item, unlike the other HOG from Playrix, it doesn't give a sparkle to show where that item is. You either have to try and find it, or use a hint.
2) Some of the scenes are so dark, that you can't find the items you're looking for, so you end up wasting time trying to find it. This is really a PITA when looking for something tiny in a dark area.
Other than that, I love Austin and his parents. The beginning cut-scene looks like something from Pixar, and the music is lovely -- especially the guitar stuff from Austin.
I recommend this game!

I thought I'd give it a try, but it's old-style HOG, and what games it does have, you know the pieces are in the right place, but it won't just place them there. The music is repetitive, the background sounds had to be muted, and although this is marketed to kids, they would probably give up after a few minutes.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is an awful lot like Royal Envoy, where you have to build dwellings, harvest the items they produce, and try to do it all within a specific amount of time. I've only played a few of the levels, but will get it. It's better than yet another dark, dreary HOG.
I recommend this game!

I loved the first Grave Mania, and I'm enjoying this one. It's harder to get an expert score, and instead of bopping a rogue zombie over the head to turn him into a butler, you have to find the parts. Otherwise, the humor is still there and still off-the-wall. Great game!
I recommend this game!

This is a wonderful puzzle game, with gorgeous graphics and a wonderful, albeit monotonous, soundtrack. You can replay the puzzles over and over in order to attain three stars, but you can still get the bonus game just by completing the levels. My only complaint is that there just aren't enough puzzles, and that I was able to complete the game in a day, however, it's a nice break from the constant HOGs we've been receiving.
I recommend this game!

I'm not really a Match-3 person, but I do have Fishdom on my Kindle, so I thought that this would be fun, too. It blasts everything else out of the water with the graphics, upgrades and playability. I've lost track of time to the point that I've won a couple of awards just for how long I've been playing it. This game makes up for how bad MCF was this week.
I recommend this game!

MCF had become a Thanksgiving tradition for my family, so I had bought this without hesitation. I'm not a huge fan of things jumping out at me, so the first instance with the television turned me off. However, my teens and my husband enjoy that sort of thing, so it didn't bother them. Their complaints are that this just doesn't have the snarky humor of the previous games, nor does it have a very good plotline. Too much time was spent on the filming, and not enough on production. The best analogy is when George Lucas made episode one of Star Wars, and visually it was beautiful, but the emotional aspect was missing.
This series is no longer fun.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a visually stunning game, with only a few HOGs and several puzzles. Normally this would be fine, except that some of the reasoning behind the puzzles is so obtuse that you either have to hit the SKIP button or refer to the Strategy Guide.
I recommend this game!

It's cute, it's easy, but all it is is just breaking bricks and freeing fairies with balls, or actually using balls to free fairies. Oh, the trouble we could get into if we phrase our reviews wrong! I probably won't get it because I've been playing these kind since Atari came out with Break-out in the 1970s, and to be honest, they were really cool then, but not now.

It's definitely like "Artist Colony" where you build your village after being shipwrecked, but it's an unhurried pace (except for a few quests). The only downside for me is the stupid "Angry Birds" part where you have to get rid of pirates. "Angry Pirates" is just very unlike the rest of the game, and it throws off the tempo and continuity.
