When a developer improves on an already excellent game, all I can say is Whoo-Whoo! We are back with the same entertaining characters – but with even more to do! Besides visiting each wonder, and learning about them, thank you, we have a special rune we need to match to collect map pieces. Each map piece after collecting all the map pieces for a level, we then start a mini-game and are challenged to complete the game within a designated amount of moves, against time! If all the maps are collected, at the end of the game we have our secret wonder to play! Plus, you are able to earn different powers to help you clear the puzzle to achieve your goal. The original game was great, this is awesome!
A classic Match 3 Game that looks deceivingly easy in the beginning, but SO challenging! A game you can keep on your computer and come back to again and again. Have I finished it? Maybe once or twice…the other times, oh so close! As you match the tiles, pieces fall to the bottom of the screen for the workers to move them down the ramp. Puzzle layout gets very challenging – studying the layout and matching 4 or 5 at a time gives you the fire bombs you need to clear out rows and columns to complete the screen.
I recommend this game!

Big Kahuna Reef 2 - Chain Reaction
Come back to an underwater paradise as creative designers from around the world deliver over 750 levels of spectacular excitement!
Once again, we are back at the reef for fun and a great challenge. Plus, with the game you have the expansion packs, so this guarantees hours of fun. The challenge is just as good as the first game – same golden Kahuna and a selection of fish to really brighten up your aquarium. Definitely a buy!
I recommend this game!

Big Kahuna Reef
This matching puzzle is leagues away from ordinary. Swimmingly good times await you in the reef.
Probably one of the best match 3 games out there. Besides a great soundtrack, working yourself up into a frenzy and trying get the golden Kahuna is just the frosting on the cake! Plus, you get to populate your aquarium with different fish. A great game; catches you off-guard when you notice your time has run out. For the next to impossible screens, you have a net to remove the troublesome tile that will recharge with each match. I admit I’ve probably played the game through at least 5 times. A game you’ll replay every 6 months or so!

This review is based on playing the CE game on Advanced. This was a beautiful, well-thought out game. Graphics were crisp and the game ran without any glitches or problems. I will not recap the achievements as the other reviewers did an excellent job of listing your objectives. The only reasons why this isn't rated at 5 stars is that you can skip the cutscenes, but can't advance one screen at a time. I like having the capability of reading the dialog and moving from screen to screen at my own pace. Also, puzzles seemed a little easy.....bring on the frustrating stuff! Puzzles were nice, but nothing that you haven't already seen in other games.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
This review is based on the full game played on Challenging.
I was fortunate enough to purchase this game when it was on sale. I admit, I had a love/hate relationship playing it...frustrating and then rewarding.
An unusual storm comes to Silentville causing no past, no present, no future, and you need to unravel the mystery.
The game is by 2 Monkeys, and there are 2 levels of play...Casual and Challenging.
Beautiful graphics Good Tutorial Good Sound A Map where you can transport yourself to different locations. You can skip the dialogue and cutscenes.
Puzzles were definitely different! HOS were probably the most challenging because you need to combine items. Puzzles were entertaining - not too difficult.
My biggest complaint is that you can't move the dialogue and cutscenes manually screen by screen. Also, sometimes I really didn't know what I was supposed to be doing besides moving from location to location.
But, being a refreshing change from the usual adventure/puzzle game was great. I DID miss the morphing objects!
Shiver is the third in the series, the other two games were Poltergeist and Vanishing Hitchhiker. I really enjoyed both of those games, and personally, this one did not fail in keeping my interest. I played the game on advanced. My take on the game: 3 levels: Casual, Advanced Expert. Interactive objects, HOPA and HOS. On the HOS, you really have to think outside the box, which I like. Graphics are crisp and the shading was appropriate for the scenes. You have an opportunity to skip the dialogue/cutscenes, but I suggest watching them - they aren't that long and you can advance the screens. Puzzles are logical. Smooth play - no problems. Hard to stop playing...I decided on purchasing the SE which was fine. And, I don't mind if the ending isn't cut and dried - I enjoy the series so will buy the next game ( if it is as good!).
This review is based on the CE DEMO played on NORMAL.. Wow, what a game. So much to do, and the game should satisfy everyone. You have a Main Chapter and then the Bonus Chapter will unlock. 4 difficulty levels: Casual, Normal, Hard and Custom. You can change the difficulty at any time. Cut scenes can be skipped. You can speed through the dialogue. After starting the game, you will earn a map that shows you location, and you can jump to locations you have already visited. You have an IMP friend to help you, and you will have a diary to keep your notes. Graphics are crisp. You can play either HOS or switch to a match game.

An excellent game! I give it 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5!
In all the years with Big Fish, I don't think I have ever seen a game that hit all 5 stars on every criteria. This is the first time I have purchased a game after 15 minutes of play! All the other reviewers hit the mark - this is one awesome game!
PROS Graphics - unbelievable Music - I went out and bought outdoor Christmas lights today! Storyline - So much to do! Puzzles - Ranged in difficulty from "hey I got this" to "whoa, put on the thinking hat.
CONS Too much talking! The cut scenes were numerous, and you could not advance through the dialog. There was a skip button, but I didn't want to miss out on any clues. Puzzles could be more difficult. Sparkles - maybe on the Expert level you would not have the sparkle hints...but if you waited more than 5 seconds it sparkled on a clue.
I would probably buy this as a SE version on sale.
