I just finished playing this game and must admit that I truly enjoy their storyline in this and their other game. I like that the game follows the story and keeps you moving to discover new and interesting items. Seemed to be the right mix of puzzles and HOS even though I prefer there to be more HOS than puzzles. In this case however, the puzzle were intricate to the game, not just time wasters. It is easy to begin to identify with these characters as you begin to move through the game and..."What other eye"? lol. Game play was smooth, graphics are great and lots of things to look at. Not a lot of difficult to and fro. Great game, give it a look see and perhaps you will also enjoy. The game left me completely satisfied, like a good meal.
I enjoyed this game except for a few times when I was completely stuped as to where to go next. But with the help of the forums and just plain perseverance I finally made it through. I truly enjoyed the premise of the game as it was a bit different. There is no walkthrough, but if you persevere you can make it through without one. Enjoy this one and take your time. Think outside of the box on occasion. Give it a try and see what you think.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
I sort of picked this up without much thinking about it, and I am so glad that I did. It didn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it certainly had playability. The way they handled the HOS was interesting and I think a great deal of thought went into them I know I put a great deal of thought into finding all of the items. I don't want to give anything away, but the HOS themselves tend to be sort of a minipuzzle unto themselves I think a bit more money spent and some fleshing out of the game and this would be even better. At this point I am sooo glad that I went ahead and gave it a try. I bought it after about 10 minutes and finished it in one day which means I got nothing done except maybe breakfast , lunch and dinner Highly recomment this game if you are the adventuresome type and love to experience something new and different. The storyline grabbed me and I truly cared about the characters, which is highly unusual these days Bravo developers and thank you BFG for giving us a chance to play this game. I better get out the riding mower before my house is covered in grass, a story unto itself lol. Time to work some before I tackle the next game.
I will play most HOS IHOS or HOPAS etc and find most of them enjoyable. Even the ones that are not great are fine to give me a small bit of entertainment. Well, with this game what you see is what you get. It starts out boring and stays that way. It does not get worse and it does not get better it just keeps trudging along. It is a short game, which in this case is probably a blessing :) If these folks wanted to have a class teaching how to make ho-hum games, they have the formula . Tedious would be a good word, but I am proud of myself, I finshed it lol! My advise...don't bother with this one. Don't try the trial thinking it will improve, it won't.
This developer generally impresses me with the quality of their games, but they have missed the mark with this one. I hate to give a bad review, but in this case it is warranted. The visual quality of this game is very good, but that is where the excellence stops. The story seemed to almost be an afterthought and was not compelling at all. There were many HOS, which I usually like, but these were just way to easy. Without the challenge it just takes away the fun for me. The puzzles, like the HOS, were way to easy as well. I play many of these games, but in this case I am either a genius at puzzles or they were to easy, I think it is the latter. As is usual with this developer the art work is great There were times that I just allowed myself to look at the game rather than play as the graphics were just wonderful. With a bit more effort I think this could have been a much better game. While playing I even considered not playing the bonus game as I was just plain bored, but I went ahead and played it. The bonus game was actually worse than the main game and was sort of pointless. It was just perhaps 3 locations with with a lot of HOS. It felt more like they knew they needed a bonus game to qualify as a CE so just threw something together. I feel there should be an achievement award for being persistent and finishing this game. Give the trial a go and see for yourself as it seems that my take on the game is in the minority, but it just didn't give me very much enjoyment. Perhaps next time Blue Tea!
This review is based on playing the entire game and bonus chapter. It is a very interesting storyline and kept me curious all the way through. Just when you thought it was over there was more to come This is one that is better just played and enjoyed rather than constantly trying to figure it out I play in the evenings and at my leisure and got 13 hours of fun from this game. The artwork looked great on my 17 inch laptop screen. The HOS are a bit on the difficult side by the way they are drawn, but I prefer that over just clicking through the items. The quality of the art work in the HOS is just as good as the game, they have just blended exceptionally well in some cases. I was able to complete all but one puzzle and that one I just got tired of trying :). I was not quite sure how I felt about the bonus game. At first I thought it was kind of an afterthought, but as I played it I enjoyed it quite a bit. So if you're listenin', get out your credits, your dollars or your euro's and get this game.
I am beginnning to feel like a broken record, but I really enjoyed this game. It was a bit different and I enjoyed being on an island. The game was logical to me but yet I was unable to "guess" the ending early in the game. Lots of locations I was not expecting as well. Try this one. It may be an acquired taste, but I acquired it lol. The HOS were a bit more difficult, which I appreciate, as I hate to just click my way through them. I only got lost once and that was near the end of the game. Very proud of myself when I was able to re-orient myself. Have fun with this one and if it is not your cup of tea just wait a day or two, one will show up. Thanks developers and BF
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It was a little different than most and that is a good thing. The story kept me interested and the movement through the game was smooth and made sense. At least demo this game or you might miss a great one. It is one of the few that I consider worth every penny of the game club price for a CE and perhaps the non-game club price. The game was unusual and interesting. Usually I am getting bored by the time the bonus game rolls around, but not in this game. I think the live action figures could be improved on, but they were not really anything that took away or added to the game so for me a non -issue. Go for it and give it a try.
I recommend this game!

Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover™
Welcome back to Gardenscapes! Turn the hall into a masterpiece!
I purchased this game quite some time ago and just finished playing. I did not play it all in one sitting. I did not purchase the first Gardenscapes as it bored me, but this one was much more fun. I enjoyed decorating the hall and there was quite a bit of fun factor involved. The HOS were a bit too easy and became a bit repetitive about half way through the game and when it ended I was glad to have finished. So I have mixed feelings. Yes, it was fun, but became tedious after awhile. This may not be everyone's experience so give it a go.
I recommend this game!

Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart Collector's Edition
Dive into an epic journey as a museum owner in pursuit of an undead pirate who has kidnapped your daughter in Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart!
I just finished this game and loved every minute of it. I tend to play over days, not hours and many times I lose track of where I was and why :). I could be away from this game for two days and go right back and pick up where I left off. To me, that is great story telling. I was involved, never bored and enjoyed it thoroughly. By the time I get to the bonus game of a CE I am sometimes bored, but not this time and the bonus game was well worth waiting for. If you give any CE a chance this year, this is one you should consider. HOS were great and puzzles were either not to hard or I am getting better at this. Probably the former, but could be the latter. Have fun with this gem.
