Simple plot; girl has to save boy on haunted farm. Pretty predictable.
Graphics are nice. Design is clean and did not notice any issues with moving around. No map; you won't need it.
No voice over; sometimes text disappears quickly. Voice overs would enhance game slightly
HOGs are really easy; everything is easy to find. Puzzles are easy to solve.
Dialog seemed to focus on having to watch out for scarecrows as if they were really evil. They are just stationary objects; nothing special.
If I didn't get distracted I could have finished it in demo mode. Game play time is really short.
This is a good starter game for children who are just being introduced to HO games.
While this is an OK game I recommend not paying for it. I used free credit to purchase. Over-all this is a well designed game, although lacking in complexity and challenging game play. At first I expected a more challenging game and was very disappointed with the short game play.
This game is not recommended for experienced players.
I read some really critical reviews but they seemed way off base. Linear game play was smooth with excellent puzzle challenges. Game has a couple match 3 style puzzles that gave a bit of change of pace.
The story line was easy to follow with the occasional help of the colorful bird character. Graphics were pretty good and objects needed for game play were easy to spot. It is a bright and colorful game. I did have a technical issue with the bird room not displaying backdrop of the screen but all the important objects were clearly visible to complete task.
Help function did not give exact details of what needed to be done but gave enough information to get me going back in the right direction.
Voice-overs were clear and were not at all amateurish.
The overall game play was a little shorter than most games I've played but I did not lose interest by having to spend time doing none essential task like running all over the place. Location changes were smooth and quick.
In the end I am glad I purchased the game instead of going by some of the bad reviews.
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
Game is not particularly challenging but the HOS are mostly combinations of items to take an item off the list or put it in inventory. Graphics are clear and bright so you won't have a hard time making out items for pickup and HO screens.
Voice overs are very nice. Didn't really need to use the hint feature but may be needed by some game players.
With all the HO screens you might forget what the challenge at hand is.
Story-line is about fantasy/paranormal but it is not creepy. Nothing gory in this one.
Good game for kids, although the HO screen have instances where combined objects are cigarettes and cigars. I don't know why the developers needed to use these items in the game.
PS: I ran this game on a Windows 8 Preview without any issues.
