the game is very dated and more like an app. the story line is a common one, detective on the case, looking for clues. no voice over. you play through a series of ho scenes to earn stars to solve the case. each scene consists of one ho scene that is repeated until you earn 5 stars. the objects never change, neither do they move around the scene. what changes is how you are asked to find them...scrambled word, silhouette, etc. you are also asked to find a specific number of something, hats, coins, etc. each scene takes about 30 seconds to complete. when you earn enough stars to solve a scene, you are rewarded with a few words of dialogue. boring.

this is a game that requires you to think and plan each level, once you get past the first few. if you are not careful you will find yourself stuck and have to begin again. i found the game relaxing and enjoyable. i liked the graphics and the story line and the music seemed to fit. the levels went quickly and progressed the storyline nicely. i bought it.

i am a tm fan and buy almost all of them. i love this game because every level has a different challenge. even though the tasks are still the same, gather and build, the game doesn't get boring because there are different goals to accomplish and different scenery to enjoy on every level. the graphics are beautiful, the little guys do their jobs faster than most little tm guys, and there are town building and money making opportunities to take part in between levels. loved it so much that i downloaded the first 2 games in the series.

this is a, in my opinion, less well done version of clutter. i bought the game because i had a free game and i like clutter games, but i can't giv 5 stars to a game that is so derivative of another game. by the way, the same game is available on gh under the name catch the witch.....hmmmmm

in my opinion this is not an adventure game, it is a choose your own adventure story, printed on fortune cookie white strips that are shown against a grey moonscape. you read the strips, you pick a reply, you repeat. in the 45 min. i played i saw 2 images, one of the crew and one of the building. there were many times when i thought that the game would open up and show more graphics or become more interactive. this was like an 80's game, all talk, no action...just reading. didn't like it, found it boring. it might have been better if the background changed, even a little bit.
Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds! Help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together. Or see what happens when you make a different choice.
i reminds me of a choose your own adventure book. you read text, make a decision, and so far as i have played the demo, a total of 15 min., i've had to wait until the game character, taylor, does something based on the decision i made. there is no animation, the screen is white letters on black and its windowed. the first wait was an hour while taylor hiked to the wreck site, followed by three shorter waits. they are in real time and there is nothing to do while waiting so i quit the game, do something else and come back. i will play the demo, just to see if anything else changes and the game gets better. i wouldn't buy it, i have a whole box full of choose your own adventure books in the attic and they have pictures!

the graphics, narration and animation are superior. i loved this game because it put you into the story and continued the interactions throughout the game. the graphics were incredible, beautifully drawn with a depth of field i haven't seen before. some have said that they were blurry or not sharp, but i didn't find that at all. the animation and narration were also wonderful. the cut scene were more like little videos, the lip sync was almost perfect....the hidden object scenes were mostly puzzles, ie, find one object to unlock another. tasks are clearly laid out and follow the story. this is a very unique game and very much worth playing. i bought it after the demo because i wanted to know how the story ended. this is unusual for me since i'm not a really huge hoa fan and generally only play the demos, . this game is an exception and i think you will enjoy it.

i played this game because i wanted to see if it was as bad as the 2 star review said it was. it wasn't. what it is is a hoa game with all the bell and whistles of countless other hoa games i have played. the graphics and sound are excellent and i didn't find the story line muddled, although it wasn't very original either. dying family member that you must heal. the story is told by an old inn keeper that you encounter.
the game play wasn't any easier or harder than other games of this genre. neither were the puzzles. i think, for me at least, i may have played enough games that its rare that i come across something i haven't at least seen in an earlier game. the game didn't lag because you could accomplish tasks relatively easily. the story line was clear and tasks followed the story.
i like the little helpers, they break up the game and add interest. you don't have to click and drag them to the object, just click on them and then on the object and they move right along. yes, it does add a second or two to the task, but so what. to me, its a more interesting than just clicking along by myself.
the werewolf does serve a purpose. you will find out as you play. the other animals i ran across in the demo also had a role of some sort to play.
give the game a try. i would be interested in reading other reveiws.
i love tm games and usually buy them, but not this time. this game is timed, which i don't care for, but thats not the major problem. i was only able to get expert on 1 level... and had to repeat several others to continue the game. i may not be the fastest clicker around, but to be scoring very low on the earliest levels isn't what i usually do. the problem seems to be with the items in the match 3 portion of the game. you have to serve a certain number of customers but the ingredients dont appear on the board quickly enough or in big enough quantities to allow you to do this. for example, if you need 8 chickens to complete an order and only 3 chickens appear on the board can't complete the order. its not a matter of not clicking fast enough or of missing needed ingredients as they appear, they just don't appear so you can't win. at one point the "host" suggested that if we wait for 3 or more people to pay at once we will get a bonus. i tried. if you let the customers wait til you have 3 ready to pay, you won't have enough time to seat the required number of customers. finished the trial just in case it got better. it didn't. i don't care about highest scores but it was just too frustrating to continue playing a no win game.

i enjoyed this game. the graphics and ho/puzzle scenes were well done and different from the usual. i bought the game after the demo, but i'm sorry i did because i finished the game in about an hour. there is only one chapter left and the game ends rather abruptly at the end of the chapter. i would recommend this game if you have a game credit because of the length. there are no extras like collectables or morphing objects. its a well done but short and basic game.
