When I first started this game, I didn't really like it. It was totally different from what I was used to. After the preview, I really hesitated before buying it, but I went ahead anyway and I'm glad I did.
It has some similarities, like rescuing people and animals, clearing the roads, etc. It didn't take me long to enjoy the rest of it.
Pros: 1) No level timer. There are timers for some jobs, but you can often let others wait until after the timed ones are completed. This was like a good combination of timed and relaxed. 2) I love how you can zoom in and out of the screen. Sometimes I wanted to see an area up close and others I wanted to see the "bigger picture". 3) I didn't have to gather items from the shops!! Except food from the grills. No worrying about picking things up while trying to do other tasks. Yes, you use up characters, but it made it so much nicer not to have to constantly watch the shops and wasting time to get items. 4) Opportunities to get additional items instead of having to wait until you built up enough from the shops. 5) Lots of levels with a lot to do. Kept my interest and really added to the fun. The addition of a save in the level came in handy often, especially on the longer levels. If I wasn't sure which way to go, I just saved it. That way, if I choose poorly, I could go back from that point and continue. 6) Cute characters. I especially liked the penguins.
Cons: I can honestly say there was really only one thing I didn't like, but it was incredibly annoying. The constant pop-up hints and tips. Reminding me to upgrade the buildings, when they were already upgraded. Telling me to remember to get extra supplies when I didn't need them or make sure I had enough workers even when I couldn't get any more. I understand hints when you're doing something for the first time, but these often interfered with game play and they popped up every few seconds, over and over again. There really needs to be a way to shut them off. Other than that, I enjoyed the game a lot.
This game had some similar game play as the other Rescue Team games, but I think they did an amazing job of changing it up and improving it. I hope they stick with this style for awhile. Give it a chance. I think you'll like it. I've already played it through 4 times.

I stopped the game after the final level and it mentioned something about bonus levels. Like another reviewer mentioned, when I came back to play them, I can't find them. I re-played the last level but the game just ended. No extra levels. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The graphics are terrific. I like that the characters and items are larger. It gives everyone some personality and I don't have to guess which character does what. Every now and again, they toss in some added difficulties to deal with (scorpions, skeletons, sirens, etc.) but that makes it just different enough so you're not doing the exact same thing over and over again. Renewable resources, in many of the levels, is very helpful. There were only one or two levels that I had to start over because I didn't do things in the right order in the beginning. I like not having to make a choice as to which buildings I need to build and in what order. I also like the fact that I don't have to go to the buildings to collect the resources. Every level is busy enough without that.
As far as the game goes, I really enjoyed it. It is fun and challenging. There were several levels I couldn't get gold on until I had gotten several upgrades. A lot of them were very close, but I succeeded in getting gold on every level of the main game. I did have some issues where the game locked up and I had to restart. Sometimes several times in a row. But I think it's probably more an issue with my computer than with the game. It's almost 10 years old and I'm running Windows 7.

I enjoyed this game. It's not the typical clear the road, gather items, build things type of TM game, which I also enjoy. This reminded me a lot of the Build-A-Lot type games. It's not as difficult, which is ok by me. I don't enjoy games that are nearly impossible to "beat the clock". This wasn't too difficult, but I found it enjoyable. There are 50 levels plus 20 bonus levels and no hidden puzzle pieces or morphing objects to find. You just get to focus on the game. All in all, I had fun playing this game.

I really enjoy playing mosaic puzzles and was hoping that this Christmas themed game would be fun. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all. The gameplay was choppy and, therefore, very slow to respond. This caused some squares to be clicked on when I didn't want them to be and caused errors. The music was very repetitive so I wound up turning it off. I think, for me, the worst part was that when you would slide to click on several squares at once, a sound played and the word "combo" would drop down right over the center of the screen. I only played for about 20 minutes before I uninstalled the game. To me, it was not enjoyable and annoying.

The game is entertaining and I enjoyed playing it, for the most part, but you can't queue tasks. Not being able to do that, especially in a timed game, is a game killer for me. If it doesn't bother you, I'm sure you'll enjoy 4 Aztec Skulls. For me, not being able to queue tasks ruins the game. I don't get a chance to enjoy it because I have to keep waiting for them to become available for the next task.

I enjoyed playing Thanksgiving Day Mosaic. I like how there were different "materials" used throughout the game. It kept my interest and I liked the pictures. Some of the puzzles probably could have been more challenging, but it was nice to have something fun that wasn't frantic.
In the description above, it says there are "120 unique patchwork mosaics". Unless I'm missing something, there are only 72 puzzles. 12 puzzles in each of 6 groups. If there are more, I don't know how to find them. Also, the game just abruptly ended after I finished the last puzzle. There was no "thank you for playing", credits, etc. It was just over. These two things are the reason I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I really enjoyed playing.

I recently played Thanksgiving Day Mosaic (by 8Floor Ltd) and enjoyed the various types of materials used in those puzzles. So when I started with this game, Holiday Mosaics Christmas Puzzles, I expected the same quality of puzzles, but I was sadly mistaken. It seems as though the developer, also 8Floor Ltd, suddenly remembered that they needed to make a Christmas puzzle and didn't have the time to do it properly. So, instead, they took old photos and randomly cut them apart. In some puzzles, it made them more difficult, but not in a fun, challenging way. There are several pieces in some puzzles that are just solid background (white, red, gray, etc.) and it made it difficult to see the edges.
I gave this game 3 stars, mainly because I'm a big jigsaw puzzle fan as well (the real ones, not digital) so it gave me something to do at night while traveling over Christmas and everyone else was asleep. Otherwise, I probably would have only given it 1 or 2 stars.

I am a huge fan of the mosaic puzzle games, but Hidden Clues 2: Miami is one I won't be purchasing for several reasons. First of all, I don't understand the "hidden clues" part. There's nothing to figure out, they just tell you what you've "discovered". It's a good thing they tell you what the picture was because, most of the time, I had no idea of what it was supposed to be. Some of the colors are very similar to another and it makes it hard to differentiate between the two, causing mistakes. One other thing, which might not be a big deal to others but was for me, is that I usually start with my mouse at the first tile and scroll across having the game count the tiles for me. I couldn't do that in this game because it doesn't count the ones already colored in. I know it may be lazy but I like that part, especially for the larger numbers. I also didn't care for the pushpins for the blank tiles. I don't know if it was because they were 3D looking, or just too large, but they were more prominent than the filled in tiles making it somewhat difficult to focus on the tiles that needed to be filled in.
I appreciate the effort that went into this game, but it just didn't work for me.

I have to admit, I'm really surprised at the high ratings. Way too much storyline and dialog. Very little game play. If you skip the dialog, you often don't know what you're supposed to do, so you have to sit and listen to it while the characters speak and walk away. And they do it very slowly. I actually dozed off a couple of times waiting to be able to do something.
There is a map, but it's not interactive, so you have to keep going back and forth for one little item.
All in all, I found this game to be quite dull and boring.
