This is the most relaxing game I've ever followed. Though some of the releases are a little pendantic, I enjoy using this game as an escape for a bit -- it's familiar and comfortable. And you memorize the bits and pieces over time to play again and beat your previous score. I fully appreciate the SKIP button and use it liberally for those parts I don't enjoy (like some of the mini puzzles or when the game breaks an item into four pieces you have to find). I do not enjoy when some of the games are magnified so much that a toddler could pick them out; otherwise I have nothing but thanks for this long-running game.

I have enjoyed some of the versions of this game series. The 9th one about the wedding is about the best they've put out. Other levels had objects that were way too big and weird (seriously, meat products in the Restaurant version?), and looked like they had been created for a kindergartner.
It IS a relaxing game even at the "difficult" level. If you are not interested in matching, or in easy mini-games, just move on to another kind of game. I play it to relieve stress.
As for the suns, I can't believe people are criticizing them. They are part of the challenge. I get rid of all the ones I can see right at the beginning of the level, which eats up some of the time, which gives less time to finish the level. I've lost a couple of times in each series because of this and I enjoy going back and trying again.
I would like to see more variety in the game, though. There are way too many regular point and clicks with all moveable items as well as some not-moveable items. There are also way too many cut-into-three-and-four-parts. It would be nice to see more of the small vs large sizes -- they are the most challenging to me. And after my initial surprise with level 14 where Christmas music was interspersed with the regular, I found it a bit whimsical. What would be nice is to have a music change-up....keeping some of the background songs but adding a few more similar but fresh tunes.
I am also a big fan of the "skip" button so that I don't have to play the ones I don't like or do well. It doesn't force you to work the level while it times out; you just move on to the next level.
For those looking for "new and innovating," it's not for you. For those who like the familiarity and cheerfulness and relaxation, it's a good game.
After several of what I consider "bombs" in this game series, I believe the balance of fun and gentle challenge has been restored. Although several of the series' installments were good, along the way they took a left turn for other installments. I personally love #9, the one about the wedding; not for the story line (cute, but aimed at children, not adults) but more for the solid blend of items (not too much alike that it made the search frustrating beyond endurance yet similar enough to sometimes catch me off guard), the music interspersed with ambient street sounds and ocean/water sounds, the mini-games (my favorite are the memory matches), and the fact that the items sizes are perfect...not like some of the other installments where the sizes were so big it was laughable, like something for very young children.
Still loving the "skip" button that allows me to bypass the sections with which I have more trouble than I want to deal, especially when the pieces are broken up and you have to put them together...it tests my patience and more often than not, I move on without completing them. I do understand that for others it is fun, so just keep putting in that skip button!
All in all, I am very satisfied with this installment. The developer once more hit the "sweet spot." Thank God, too, because I was wearing out installment #9, playing it over and over because several of the others just weren't that good.
Okay, for some reason, the person/people doing some of these Shopping Clutter games are way off base. Clutter 9 and Clutter 11 (Halloween) are terrific. However, interspersed with those successful games, there are also these awful Shopping Clutters where the items are far too large, too silly, and seem more for kindergarteners than anything else.
There IS Christmas themed music, so that is helpful.
I didn't see any "matching" memory mini-game so I was disappointed about that.
Bottom Line: BRING BACK THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED ON CLUTTER 9 AND 11!!! Whoever does these versions is seriously limited.
First, what a lousy bunch of reviews for a game that is familiar and comforting for this ol' lady. I am so very glad that they got rid of the super large pictures and suns. Those were like kindergarten. But this one is more like game 9 and I really enjoyed that one. This is supposed to be a fairy/magic theme so I would have loved to see more magical things like charms, potions, and items like that.
Remember, children play these games too, so if you're an adult crying that it's "too boring," keep that in mind and go find something else to occupy your time. This is a good game and I will recommend it for those of us who find that (structural) change is not always better.
I do miss the challenge of the memory/flip-over mini-games. Why they took those away in favor of more "move the squares" I'll never understand. I also wish they would include more of the small/large challenges. These do not structurally change the game, just add more fun.
And again, thank you for that "skip" button that allows me to bypass some of the "divided" games...I don't love those but I understand others do, so I'm happy to be able to skip them while others play them out.
IMHO, Shopping Clutter 9 was your absolute BEST. I'm not sure what happened to the ones in between, but the objects were way too large and the challenge was practically non-existent. Although I haven't played all of this new game, it looks like it is more like game 9 and that is much better. I don't see any memory/turn over mini-games and that makes me sad. I LOVE those. I also appreciate your continued "skip" button so I don't have to play the ones which I don't play well. Keep this "more like game 9" skillset going!

Okay, I've played several of the Shopping Clutter games.
What I like: * The memory games. * The "SKIP" button that doesn't time down before you can use it (I'm not fond of the games that require putting together split items and generally skip them). * The large/small size levels if it's challenging; please add more of those and less "shapes only" and "one colored/one not colored." * The levels where items are on top of each other. * The story lines are cute, although I sometimes click out of them. * The music, when it actually plays.
What I don't like:
* For some reason, some of these Shopping Clutter games are quite different from others, and I don't understand why. Some do appear, like a reviewer said with SC 11, like a high school project. Are there two different teams working on them? If so, the one that created SC 9, 6, and 2 was spot on. All the others I've played have items that are far too big, and it's no challenge at all. The items are also pedestrian and I usually don't finish the game. * The non-music bits in between the music bits. They definitely ratchet up the irritant factor.
Also a suggestion: Why not have an Easter egg on each level that's well hidden, on the small side, and adds extra points if you find it? That will up your challenge/difficulty factor.
In short, * Please continue to create the games * Change up the objects (although keep a few of the ones from 9, 6, and 2). * Add more larger/smaller challenges. * Maybe add an Easter egg challenge * PLEASE fix the music/non-music issue (love the positive classical music best), a * ABOVE ALL ELSE, let the one(s) who created 9, 6, and 2 make them!!!
Been a BFG member since 2006, and have enjoyed many games of many kinds. I'm a "CAT person" and this caught my eye as I was browsing the newest holiday games to pass the time. I told my husband that Puss N Boots could NEVER be a bad character, and I'd just have to play the game and find out what this was all about! LOL
I was pleasantly amused at the storyline, enjoyed the relaxed play, appreciated the memory required to find and use the items/elements at the right time in the right place, and the overall experience. Not many games keep me up past my mandatory bedtime on a school night #yes, I'm an educator and I have a curfew! Deal with it...#...but this one was delightful. I may play it again to see if I can remember all the things I had to remember, only a little faster. NOT a die-hard gamer's game and it's not meant to be.
