This is one of my favorite Match - 3 games in the past 6 months or so! Beautiful graphics that are not so much 3-d, but rich vibrant artwork. Game play is very good...challenging at times, without being frustrating. I'm one who NEVER plays timed games, and this one is timed, but it does have a relaxed mode..though still "timed", It has plenty of time to play each level. Even if you do take a long time, it just drops you from 'Perfect' to 'Fantastic' or 'Great Job' ratings. You can't lose a level.
Power Ups are in game, which create 4 different color of "pearl bombs". Blue, Green, Yellow & Red. Blue being the weakest, Red being it practically clears the whole board :) .
There are also Bonus Emblems that you can use. Each emblem is recharged by making matches to power up that emblem. When you use that emblem as a bonus, the game sets it up so that you can recharge the emblem very quickly, by creating tiles that are required to charge it. For instance if I use the "Blue" Emblem which clears a whole line of tiles, the game will automatically change one set of tiles (such as leaves) into the blue emblem icon, so you can start matching it in that level and you will almost always have that emblem recharged before you even leave the level.
Music is nice..calming and just enough pep in it to keep you interested. I'm not usually one to use sound in my games, but this one's music and sound effects are great.
Another Plus: You get to build a village in between levels..and each building/business/ in the village has 3 stars to fill in upgrades...each time you upgrade a building it adds more detail, color or productivity.
There are two parts of the village to build, the sea side, and above the waterfall. I've been playing for hours, at a time for 3 days now, and I'm just finishing up with all the upgrades of the seaside part of the village. The characters in the village look like the characters from the 7Wonder's series Match 3 games..very cute and wandering around the village at all times.
I used a credit for this game, but I would have easily been happy to buy it at full price. It is wonderful and a nice escape when I just want to relax, enjoy the fun/mindless game play of Match 3 with the fun of building goodies in between levels.
A job well done, and I hope to see more from this developer!
I recommend this game!

I wanted to find a game to spend my free game coupon on, and this was it. Very nice Graphics with beautiful colors. If you want to turn special affects off, you can....making it better for slower computers.
Music is nice, and the powerups are fairly easy to buy. There are some mini-games between levels, and they are enjoyable so far. I'm only 1/4 into this game, so I may edit my review, but so far, I'm really enjoying this game :)
I recommend this game!

I absolutely LOVED the first game in this series. It was the best Match 3 I had found, and I still play it to this day when I'm in an M3 mood. So I was very excited when this came out. After the demo, I have to say that I'm truly disappointed. The graphics are clear, but the game board is much less detailed and the graphics almost look flat compared to the first game. Also the biggest let-down for me was that we had no city to build. The first game really knocked it out of the ballpark with building a great city that was animated and had lots of detail. The artwork was great.
The game play is the same as the first version so that helped a bit...but unfortunately, it wasn't enough for me to go ahead and purchase this game or even use one of my free game credits for it.
If you haven't played the first game..you will probably like this..but if you have, this will most likely leave you feeling like you had a bit of the wind knocked out of your sails. I hope that they come out with a 3rd version that will stay true to the first version of this game in quality and artwork.
I don't recommend this game.

Wowza, Wowza!! First off: I am playing SE game. This is one amazing game!! The first thing that grabbed me was the HIGH quality of the Soundtracks and Voice Over work!! Great Jazz, Beautiful songs interspersed throughout the game, and a refreshing sight to see a game with Cultural flair in both the people, scenery and music! Characters are unique and colorful and fun all the way through the game. Each Character's voice was a perfect match to their location, job, etc.
HO's were varied and unique!! Some of which I haven't come across before...Very good, not too hard, but just the right amount of challenge to make the game more interesting. Each HO has it's own "Theme" One may have you find matching pairs of items that are tucked away under other items..they won't clear until you find the correct match. Another one was a verbal communication overheard on a tape that gave ME verbal cues as to what to pick out of the scene. That was FUN!! Another one was a mix of finding something in a scene, and then the game GIVES you something to help find something else. Very unique gameplay, while still being fun!!
Graphics are well done, and gorgeous..I think that the location being New Orleans helped a great deal. Everything is so unique and rich in detail. Just Beautiful!!
Game Play is just awesome...I can't say enough about this game! It's soo good, that I'm going to do something I never have before with an SE: save up and get the CE!!
I have been gaming with BFG since 2005, and I can honestly say that this is going to be one that I will enjoy playing over and over, and is at the top of my list for everything: Graphics, Game Play and Music!! Thanks Mad Head games..and BFG. You have reset the bar on SE games!!
I recommend this game!

I'm just about 1.5 hours into the game...and it is THE BEST game by far of the MCF games!! And actually of all the HOG's I've ever purchased! ( & That's a lot..been a BFG Member since 2005). It is everything I hoped it would be! The graphics are absolutely the best ever...Story Line is GREAT, and there's a great (no spoiler) twist to it! Game Play is just as intricate and difficult as the first game. Hidden Object scenes are well done. The puzzles between levels..Just as good as the first and better!! Strategy Guide is well done..though the order of the morphing objects/bobbleheads/cards is a little funky. I used it twice..once for help, and the second time to check the order of the morphing objects etc.
All our favorite characters from the first game are back..looking great and having nice verbal feed back.
The interactive map is a bit "off" in that sometimes it doesn't highlight an area that you have to go back to, but I'm pretty sure that's on purpose to keep your thinking cap on. :)
This is so good...It's just beyond words!! I bought it without even demoing it...which is pretty common for me and the MCF games....and I can totally say that it is very very much worth the CE price...and with today's sale of another CE for 1/2 off, you really win on more than one front!!
The only Bad News: They have topped themselves so well, what can they possibly come up with next? This is the perfect sequel game! It's so good, that I almost feel it would be great to stop the MCF games here, because it would be going out on top. But of course, I really hope there are more to come. Just going to be really hard to top this game!!
Thanks MCF for making such a wonderful game!!!
I recommend this game!

I have been looking for Match 3 for awhile now...I like to have some to keep permanently, as they are great to play over and over again. This is my favorite Match 3 now!
Graphics are wonderful, The challenge increases fairly quickly in this game, which was a surprise! However, it doesn't get too challenging as to not like it. You can play in Relaxed or Timed Mode...Bonuses are earned via game play and also extra bonuses will appear if you make certain matches. I'm playing in the Relaxed mode, and it has been great so far. I bought this game only 15mins into the Demo mode, and it is definitely a good bargain. Enjoy the game!!
I recommend this game!

I absolutely LOVED the first game in this series, so I had high hopes when I saw that there was a sequel. My hopes were not in vain! Absolutely GREAT graphics...even the cut scenes are clearer than almost any other game. Game Play was great...hidden object games are varied...from the standard List Items, to finding parts of something that you are going to need. The artistry and colors are just wonderful..Lots of my faves of Deep Blues, Greens, Purples etc. I played it on Casual Level, which was pretty easy.. so I will go back and try the other difficulty levels. But even with the ease of the game for me, I still felt challenged and engaged the whole way through. TEASER: There seems to be a bit of dialogue at the end that sounds like another game is coming. I certainly hope so!! Worth the price of CE, but I will say I was a bit frosted when BFG half price sale started just a few hours after I bought this game. But it was still worth it for me. Enjoy the game!!
I recommend this game!

I have played this game and all the Dream Day Wedding games multiple times. This one is my favorite and I play it often! Two different houses, two different styles and lots of variations of the Story Lines. Great HOG scenes, good Minigames. Just a fun, lighthearted HOG all the way around. Play timed, or Play Relaxed. Enjoy!!

Great Great game...The Graphics and Story Line are fantastic, the Extra Features are well worth the extra expense of buying this as a Collector's Edition. So good, I'm going to play through it again..which I rarely do! Last series I did this with is the Ravenhurst Series. Enjoy this game!!
