When I read these reviews, I thought...Oh oh, this is going to be a bad game. So, on the side of cautious I did the demo. I liked it...a lot! It's funny, people use the word repetitious, but when something new comes along, they are afraid of the unknown. To them, I say...try it. You might find a new fav genre game. Definitely different and it's kind of like the games where you buy in-game purchases but you buy stuff with money you earn completing quests. Enjoy the asylum!
I recommend this game!
Trick the computer as you treat yourself to a ghoulish game of solitaire Mahjong!

I liked the halloween theme and tiles and all but there should be a place for your name and best scores. Other than that, it is a good mahjong game

The developers of the game figured we would see Jewel Quest and go for it, for the most part "we" did. This has been one of the best series. Yeah, has been...this one isn't one of their better installments. I agree with the other reviewers on the music and the constant pop up help/hints, I'd be happy if they didn't have either of these. Well, they got me because I'm a fan and I had a free game coming to me, otherwise I probably would not have bought it. It's just an ok game, not the standard we're used to in this series.
I recommend this game!
Enroll at Word U and spell words to get rid of the letters that are overrunning the library!

I thought the game is really fun and challenging. The reviews that was disappointed with the challenge element might not have played it long enough. The only thing I found a bit frustrating was when you make a long word, it finds the first word it recognizes. For example, I tried to make the word swimming and it took swim. However, I think that is part of the challenge because you can spell out part of the word like...swi and the ming and add in the other m for your last letter and you spell swimming. Try it, you might like it.
