I loved the first Elven Mist, but there's a bug that was never fixed where the game won't save when you exit. bummer, so I tried this one instead. It's different in that you can't use bonuses when you need them, only when they fill up with "mana" and then you have to use them when they pop up. which is NEVER when you actually need them.
some of the levels are so difficult to get through, people give up the game in frustration (check the forum). There's no untimed mode, which would make this game a five star. If they add an untimed mode, I will update my review. Until then, I do not recommend this game as it's more frustration than fun.

pretty much what is says in the title. I did buy this as it's a different type of solitaire, which is great...always looking for something new. However, they ruined the game play with the interruptions which, if you want to get all gold on each level, you have to do. these little "battles" involve spinning a wheel and "fighting" the bad guy. A lot of times the wheel lands on "Miss" which makes it take even longer. I just want to play the solitaire game :)

As the title states, it seems they keep releasing the same game with slightly different graphics (though the boards are the same). I bought/played the first one and then made the mistake of buying Cursed House 3. As I played, I realized it was the exact game as the original.
After downloading this version, it's the same all over again. Nothing original, not that challenging and honestly, I get the feeling they are just milking it at this point.

Ok, I don't usually use this forum to either read or post reviews, as they seem biased. However, I feel the need to warn people that this game is seriously unbalanced.
The first screen is, as usual, for learning the game and it takes you most of the 1 hour demo time to get through it. It was challenging and fun and I chose to use a credit.
However, once you get to the second screen, the enemies are seriously stronger than you. Their hits are much harder and it's to the point that I'm angry that I wasted my money on it. I don't have a problem with challenge, but a fair one would be nice. Lose, lose, lose, lose...still haven't gotten through the second enemy on the second screen.
If you enjoy being frustrated or having your sense of fair play challenged, then this game is for you. If you like a fair challenge, then I would suggest you pass on this one.

I don't do reviews as a general rule. But this game doesn't deserve the low ratings it's being given.
My reasoning is that there are a lot of people that play casual games that are used to and enjoy (nothing wrong with it) a simple clickfest. No real thought and very little logic is needed. They would not enjoy this game as it requires a bit of a learning curve. However, the game supplies abundant help if you're willing to read it.
It's different, which is saying a lot when these games are being pushed out at a breakneck pace.
I love building/planning games and some of my favorites are World of Zellians, Dream Builder Amusement Park, and Paradise Beach, to name a few. If you enjoyed those games, chance are good you will enjoy this one.

The good is that we lovers of the MKftP and Royal Envoy games are always waiting and hoping for a new version/title in this genre and this game fits right in. I liked the Asian flair to the game and thought the graphics were cute.
The bad is the following:
you can't queue up tasks, something I appreciate when given
the production buildings don't show a timer bar. this is unusual and you don't know how close they are to producing the next batch in order to help you plan your strategy.
you can't cancel actions once they are set. very frustrating.
and one last thing, small but also unusual, is that when you clear a blockage (fallen tree or boulder in the way), you don't gain any materials.

I, too, was so happy to see this sequel come out but sadly, I didn't make it past the free hour. The major problem is that in order to achieve three star ratings, you're dependent on the AI to create the opportunities to finish under the line and the AI doesn't cooperate. At all.
You will have the required buildings/stand built and whatever is in your control to do done and be sitting their waiting for the AI to pop the opp (cute!) to complete your goals as you watch the time tick away and pass the gold.

if the makers gave it a different name more in tune to what the game actually is (mahjong style matching), they would reach the appropriate audience and probably not end up with such bad ratings.

I thought I should add my two cents. This game isn't for me and it's not because it's a bad game or badly developed but because its style of game is not what I look for in casual gaming.
Positively speaking, the idea is a good one and there are going to be many people that enjoy the twist on the match 3 genre. When you make matches, the board "shoots" projectiles at advancing monsters. There are some good power ups and bonus' that you can buy.
However, for me, this constant pressure to defend the castle is a pressure that I don't really want in a match 3 game. Timers are one thing, but this is a continual onslaught and I don't enjoy feeling of stress it invokes. Further, the game mechanics (the matching part) is stiff and not fluid.
I passed on this game due to the above. Not bad, just not for me.
