This is a long game. In order to finish, it has to hold your focus and interest over a number of days. This game did so, hands down. I can't wait for the same developers to release another one. Runefall, its predecessor was also very much fun and I played it to the end as well.

I liked the original Laruaville, but this one seems to drag. The story line isn't prominent, and the match levels are not very different from one to the other. So, the repetition level is high. I would cautiously recommend for beginner players or someone who likes repetitive scenarios.

This game forces you into using the arrow keys to control movements of the horse, but the horse on the screen moves in ways that seem to bear no relationship to the arrow keys being pushed. Worse, you can never watch to see what the horse and rider are doing because you're too busy watching the screen to see when you need to push the arrow keys. This game has little or nothing to do with riding. I've been a serious dressage and event rider for decades and cannot find any relationship at all in this game to what I do on a horse.

I'm glad I bought this game on sale. About an hour into the game I got stuck and I haven't been able to get unstuck. The help button isn't specific enough to interpret what it's trying to tell you to do. I wish I could get past that because the graphics are nice and it would be fun to finish this game. Alas, I suspect it will go into the unsolved game file.
I don't recommend this game.

This is much more complicated than the previous antiques games. There's too much to do. It is confusing and distracting. I don't care about playing for free if I have to worry about spending money during the time I play the game. Not my cup of tea, but perhaps fine for others.
