An old woman tricks Melissa into wearing a cursed ring that makes her go into an everlasting sleep. Use magical potions and spells to save her from the curse!
I won't be buying this game. The graphics and sound were so-so but that doesn't bother me if I like the game play. You can't click through the dialogue, which I really hate as I'm a fast reader so it's a drag waiting for the game to move on. Some of the mini-games are fun but the design is frustrating. For example, in one (the door to the secret room) the controls are really awkward and, after fiddling with them for a bit and making a little progress, I accidentally clicked out of the puzzle. When I went back in I had to start the puzzle over! At that point I knew this game is not for me.
Can you uncover the truth before you become the next page in the killer’s diary?

The original Grim Facade is one of my favourite games - I have played it over again several times which is a real indicator of value for me, so I was very excited to see the sequel. I haven't finished it yet, but so far it hasn't disappointed. Nice variety in the challenges, good mix of HOS and adventure type action, and I love that you can click through the dialogue as I'm a fast reader. Looking forward to the weekend so I can immerse myself in the Sinister Obsession....

Victorian Mysteries: The Yellow Room
How did the attacker escape a room locked from the inside?
This game was not excessively challenging, but not so easy that I lost interest. I love the storylines based on literature - especially those that aren't supernatural or of the paranormal. The only time you choose the dialogue was in the very beginning; after that, the dialogue flowed of its own accord and the scenes weren't too long and drawn out. It was quite short, as some games go, but was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. My only complaints are that you can't jump to locations on the map and that when finding multiples of the same item, (for example, pieces of a letter), while the inventory tells how many you HAVE it doesn't specify how many you NEED so I found myself running back and forth a lot.

I always enjoy the Big City games, but the storyline brought a new dimension of fun. And being set in London was a HUGE plus!! I love the historical tidbits and the game play was very enjoyable. It was hard to tell what to do at times but once I got the map figured out it was pretty plain sailing. I have a feeling this is one I will be playing over and over again.

Not a big challenge, most puzzles very easy - though the needed objects can be very hard to see due to the unspectacular graphics. The storyline is entertaining, if utterly ludicrous at times. I enjoy the historical/literary games (even though wildly inaccurate) and a plus is the lack of supernatural/paranormal overtones which I'm soooo sick of. All in all, just an easy quick game that I found enjoyable.

I bought this when it came out over 3 years ago and I have been playing it regularly ever since. I love the photographs of real locations and the snippets of history and trivia that you are given about each place. Despite having played it so many times, each time I play there are some objects listed that I have never been asked to find before so the it stays challenging and fresh. LOVE IT!!!

Just look at the blog tips to see what's wrong with this game. It has a terrible glitch in it that stops many players about 20 minutes or so into the game. Might have been good but I, for one, was unable to find out because all my efforts to find the 3rd herb were to no avail.
