*Recommend game ONLY if you are running a very old version of Windows!!!* This was absolutely one of the TOP 3 in the MCF if not the NUMBER 1! Instead of switching creators of MCF and giving us the same games these past 5 plus years ... PLEASE MAKE THE ORIGINAL DIRE GROVE COMPATIBLE with Windows 10 and higher! Also, I went and got the Mac Version to play on my husband's Mac then THAT became un-compatible with the popular system version on the Mac!
I recommend this game!

If you are a diehard MCF fan (Me, since Huntsville) you will probably be disappointed with game play, but will get it to add to your MCF collection anyway.
I haven't enjoyed MCF much since the older games.
This particular game, Grandma tried to replicate allot of the 'feel' of the older games as far as your on screen inventory graphics. The gameplay was extremely short. I got to the end of the game, then it went to the 'bonus' part, and then it was quickly over. There were 2 slight references to Dire Grove and I was hoping it would take me there, but alas, disappointment.
I would only get this if you are adding to your MCF collection. Otherwise, definitely try the trail version first and then make up your mind from there.
I don't recommend this game.

This was one of the best ever MCF games! I have the PC version, but had to buy the Mac version (Collector's Edition) so that I could continue to enjoy it on my husbands computer. They have never rebooted it with a Windows 10 version. They did another Dire Grove (Sacred Grove), with same scenery, but just wasn't the same. The original Dire Grove is what thousands of your members have been begging you to reboot! It had so many more HO scenes and no 'blah blah blah' story scripts. (Which I find totally boring really, could just be me) BRING BACK ORIGINAL DIRE GROVE FOR WINDOWS 10 PLEEEEASE!

After playing the Beta Survey version, I went back to Huntsville and began playing each MCF game in anticipation of the Rewind release! Sadly, some of the older games aren't playing on Windows 10. But going back in time was a blast! Madame Fate was most enjoyed and it was fun to see a lot of those characters in Rewind! I enjoyed the quick go to HO's. The items were a bit too easy to find and the puzzles were a bit easy, but just being back into that old MCF groove was refreshing! The games had been becoming redundant with stories taking up too much play time and hardly any HO scenes. Really fun to stroll through time! I am on Case #11 and almost done and will play it again I'm sure. But will continue going back in time with each of the other MCF games (as long as they work in Windows 10) LOL Great Job MCF in going old school on this one!
I recommend this game!
