Buying my games carefully over the years, yet, Big BFG Sale allowed me to go outside my norm. Found this "gem". Really liked the whole game theme here. They needed a human "you" to help and they promised to put you back. Hidden objects you don't mind looking for as music is soothing, artwork is detailed and creative. Objects interact with objects to locate crystals. No looking for sparkle areas as you go room to room. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Cool how the young lady comes out of nowhere in a spooky environment like all is normal! Certainly like the option to switch from hidden object to matching and vice versa! Gave 5th star for that one! Loved artwork, music and storyline!
Five stars for relaxing storyline, graphics, music, puzzles and hidden objects that can actually be found. Scenes complement story and surroundings. Christopher Columbus becomes stranded on an island. Markings suggest possibly Mayan Culture. I play lots of frantic time-limited games and, lately, truly scary games. This put me at ease. Purchased Enlightenus II for same reasons.
Deserving 5 Stars.A crazed brother deeply affected by an Egyptian curse is the overlying storyline in all three games.. Egyptian artifacts, settings, great music, well lit hidden objects all contribute to the depth of this well-researched game. Napoleon's Secret and Tears of Sekhmet.are the other two Curse of the Pharaoh Trilogy. More fun stuff going on such as finding coins to make store purchases, using tools in scenes and clicking on "Wipi" who pops in at the screen edge, for extra hints. Great games for all ages. BFG could sell these as a trilogy combo pack as I purchased separately during their awesome Sale but would not have otherwise. Thanks for the great Sale BFG!
Deserving 5 Stars.A crazed brother deeply affected by an Egyptian curse. Egyptian artifacts, settings, great music, well lit hidden objects all contribute to the depth of this well-researched game. The story line continued from Napoleon's Secrets which I call Part I and then Part III--Tears of Sekhmet. Other fun stuff going on such as finding coins to make store purchases, using tools in scenes and clicking on "Wipi" who pops in at the screen edge, for extra hints. It's a shame these really fun games fell through the cracks of being really great games. BFG could sell these as a combo pack as I purchased separately during their awesome Sale but would not have otherwise. Thanks BFG
Deserving 5 Stars.Related to Old Egyptian artifacts and settings. Great music, well lit hidden objects and a story line that continues through two subsequent games-The Quest for Nefertiti and Tears of Sekhmet. Other fun stuff going on such as finding coins to make store purchases, using tools in scenes and clicking on "Wipi" for extra hints, who pops in at the screen's edge. BFG could sell this as a combo pack as I purchased separately during their awesome Sale but would not have otherwise. Thanks BFG!
Purchased immediately after playing the trial version. Hidden objects placed in well lit scenes with an interesting story line. Detective approached by the FBI to assist them in a situation which will ultimately locate the Detective's sister who had gone missing! Can choose Easy or Normal Mode. Simply a great HOG game to play, relax and enjoy without time constraints.
The trial version did no justice. Thought game was for children at first, but was I wrong. Game develops a good story line that begins with an tragic, unhappy incident, yet, progresses along the sci-fi realm. The sky was the limit in creativity and imaginations! Artwork was terrific--such talent!
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
Downloaded trial version 1st on my IBM Think Pad with Windows XP. Works fine. OF COURSE I purchased Collector's Edition immy for the BFG price--GREAT DEAL!! The "morphing" objects are quite challenging! Trying to find "MCF Malgrave Manor" for Wii. Enjoy!
