WOW!! DISAPPOINTING REVIEWS!! Began playing and thought this to be, yet, another BFG HOG/Adventure type game of smoke, dust, bells and whistles. Was I wrong!! From the very first scenes, Mystery Valley relies totally on a FASCINATING and RIVETING DARK storyline. BRAVO!!
YES!! The "age-old" Mystery of "vampires" being investigated by the "modern-day" FBI gives this game a powerful twist of being fact rather than forgotten fiction.
Good grief, there were some typos which does not take away from the INTRIGUING aspects of this awesome game. The scenes were APPROPRIATELY dark, gloomy and FOREBODING. The mood was set and did not deviate--keeping Gamer tightly locked into the plot--afraid to move on-- !! "Dracula" written by Bram Stoker was not set in Miami Beach, you see.
I 'd rather give kudos to a BRILLIANTLY EXECUTED game that has minor flaws than to big-money game Developers who have the finances to market unlimited "eye candy".
It seems my Reviews are usually in the minority and are rarely liked, however, they are honest and are written upon completion of gameplay!! AH! Quality--not quantity!!
Well done storyline from beginning to end. Interesting puzzles and this older gamer's fading attention span was kept right on focus! Thanks to BFG and the Developers for a winner! Purchased when 1st introduced, so it's an even greater buy during BFG Sale!! Enjoy!! Mama Mia
Good change of pace from more serious, dark games. Although not as sophisticated as Nancy Drew, Relics of Fate appealed to the Detective side of me with well-lit hidden objects, mini-games and picking up clues to finally gather Eight Relics to help Penny save her P.I.Dad. You get the picture, Detective!! Purchased on Daily Deal. My opinion is the game should be part of a combo pack for a $6.99 value, however!!. Enjoy! Mama Mia
Whoa! Demo scared me off lol!! Returned to enjoy this sci-fi paranormal-themed game. I don't understand why this game doesn't have more Rave Reviews unless the CE has them all. Moves at fast pace in finding and using needed objects and has a wide-open approach. No claustrophia for Gamers!! Loved the Sci-Fi Creatures!! Loved 'em!! Enjoy!! Mama Mia
Played CE first and was pretty much frightened away. Went back a 2nd time with Standard Version and decided to keep an open mind.
I must say that the Game Reivewers here really helped, so, thanks! Dug in my heels and went for an exciting ride as the storyline is definitely intriguing. I, too, enjoy plots involving secret organizations!!
Will most likely purchase as I did not read disappointing game-end reivews--which is very important to me. I like good stories and, likewise, enjoy endings that bring the story together without leaving Gamers hanging simply to promote a Sequel.
Would love to see more Reviewers take a quick minute and post their "Current Favorite" as this helps me in finding other good BFG games to possibly try and buy! ALL reviews are helpful and appreciated! Enjoy! Mama Mia
Lots of reviews usually indicate a popular, maybe intriguing game! In my humble opinion and based on the demo, this game did not "grab me" either and bordered on---awful. The storyline quickly unfolded as boring, redundant and lacked any originality. The HO's and Puzzles were, mercifully, simple. The game may have had promise and possibly is the best example of restrained talent . Sad when Developers deliver a "cookie cutter" game rather than be at liberty to express their own originality, creativity and imagination. BFG is not to blame as it seems gamers don't even know what they like or want as reviews are inconsistent. Imagine my surprise upon reading "rave" reviews as I have read many poor reviews for other games based on the same features exhibited in this one--such as too much reading rather than voice overs to name one example. Startling to me, "Clair" looked like a cut-out doll and would jump out onto the entire screen so we could read her ridiculous "help me, save me" messages or whatever. I, for one, was relieved when she was finally and predictably kidnapped away by the"bad guy". I so tire of the helpless damsel in distress Syndrome! Give me a brave, methodical fighting gal or a super sleuth anytime! Of course, being neither a Game Developer nor an Artist myself, I appreciate the hard work dedicated into creating any game. The final consensus, to me, is that this game ended going into a totally different direction than what the Artists and Developers originally had in mind! Mama Mia
Maybe I'm old fashioned. I really enjoyed this tight HOG with a truly immersive storyline. Scenes are well lit and objects cleverly hidden just enough i.e. same colors brown on brown. Sporadic eerie music, whisperings, background sounds put a perfect touch and prove, without a doubt, that less is more. Won't be collecting a gazillion objects as you utilize the ones you pick up quickly. Lastly, you won't get lost and on this abandoned ghost ship--you don't want to! Enjoy! Mama Mia
I recommend this game!

Way to go BFG! You did it again! Finally, able to download, play and save MYST on any of my computer Operating Systems! Thank you! An immediate purchase for me of this challenging adventure, sci-fi, mystery Masterpiece! We Adventure Game Lovers ARE out here! Would love to see the Riven Sequels as well as more like this type of game that is NOT Hidden Object.
Outstanding! Fun, exciting, challening and creative Nancy Drew who dunnit with the usual unusual surprise ending and very cool mini-games. As a Nancy Drew lover for many years--from reading all the novels to now playing the games, Warnings at Waverly Academy is a truly great game now gladly added to the Collection. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Definitely! Lengthy play, Game has phenomenal artwork and very exciting scenes where you're mostly "transported"--not running to and fro. The best and most enjoyable puzzles I'ver ever played. Most HO scenes are at the beginning and thins out to puzzles, mini-games and finding objects to progress. Locating a target range of 70 "shamrocks" and "ravens" unlock hidden object mode with 100 achieving the"perfect" awards. Not an easy task and will replay to try for that 100 mark! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
