I wasn't sure if I'd like the game set-up of Northmark: Hour of the Wolf - combining card play with a bit of rpg - but it turned out to be great fun once I got used to how it worked (which didn't take long#.
In this game, you get to choose the type of character you start out as #there are 3 choices I believe) - each with different assets that will help you in the game. Then, through doing tasks for people along the way, winning battles, opening chests, finding hidden stashes and making purchases, you create your "battle deck" - the deck of cards you can choose from to ultimately determine which types of cards you will be dealt during battles.
Overall, I found this to be a really fun game and I would highly recommend it to those who tend to enjoy the old-time rpg games. One word of advice though... don't start out as the druid - it can be very difficult to get a grasp of the game with the first cards you are given with this one.

I love this type of game - and there just isn't enough of them!
I thought Fill and Cross: Trick or Treat was a cute Halloween edition of this type of game - where you are given number clues for the rows and columns and you have to determine which squares to choose to complete the puzzle picture.
If you are into this type of game, I would recommend it.

I absolutely love solving the type of riddles in this game! It's similar to mine sweep, as you have to determine which squares are part of the puzzle picture and which are not - based on the numbers given for each column and row.
This Arizona Rose game is different than the rest because it has a storyline to it - which added to the fun for me.

I really loved playing Dark Parables: The Red Riding Hood Sisters Collector's Edition!
The graphics are amazing, the storyline interesting and original and it has HO scenes that have you find items to build various items that you will need as you progress in the game (which I like).
Also, the collector's edition is definitely worth it! You get a different game that, in the end, ties in with the Red Riding Hood Sisters game - yet it isn't necessary to purchase the collector's edition in order to feel as if you finished the game.
Overall, I would highly recommend this game to those who enjoy HO/adventure games.

To date, this is one of my favorite HO + Adventure games! The graphics are absolutely beautiful, the storyline is engaging and it has a nice mix of hidden object and adventure aspects - and it isn't super "dark" like some of the other HO games I've played.
If you like HO/Adventure games, I would highly recommend you give this one a try.
I have been playing this type of RPG game for several years and I really enjoy them - however lately, many of the options out there just aren't any good (horrible story lines, no logic to what you need to do, and very bad translations) - so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one...
After playing just 15 minutes of the Love's Epitaph demo, I was hooked! The storyline is really good, moves are logical and overall I just found it a lot of fun to play.
The shocking ending clearly sets this game up for a sequel, and I will be anxiously awaiting its arrival!
I would highly recommend this game to all those who enjoy this type of RPG game - it is definitely worth the money!

I love HOG's, but I wasn't sure about Gardenscapes - but I'm glad I gave it a try - it was really fun!
In this game your goal is to makeover the run-down garden of a mansion in time to win the neighborhood best garden contest. I order to do this you go through all of the mansion rooms finding the items customers want in order to earn enough money to buy the things you need.
One of the great parts of this game is that you get 3 choices for each item - allowing you to choose the overall look and feel of your garden.
The graphics are great and, like the other reviewers said, it is a nice change from the dark HOG games.
I would highly recommend this game to those who enjoy both HOG and tycoon-type games.

I recently got into playing these mosaic games and I love them!
In Mosaics 2 you continue your journey to learn about the Sea People and your goal is to fix an hourglass that allows the Sea People to reunite again - even though they lived in different times (thousands of years apart) and in different places throughout the world.
There is a lot of reading - but I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline.
As with the other World Mosaic games, you are given a grid with numbers associated with the columns and rows - you must use this info. to determine which blocks/bricks to keep and which to smash in order to complete a picture associated with the story.
If you like numbers and/or logic games, I think this would be a great game for you!

World Mosaics is definitely an addictive game - I just can't seem to stop playing!
In this game you are researching different ancient cultures to learn more about the origins of the sea people - and with each mosaic you solve you are one step closer to solving the mystery.
As with the other World Mosaic games, you are given a grid with numbers associated with each column and row - and it is your job to use this info. to determine which blocks/bricks to keep and which to break in order to create a specific picture.
I really enjoyed this game and can't wait to get started on World Mosaics II.

In this game you must repair an ancient book of fairy tales in order to get back to your own time and save another person who's been stuck in the book for hundreds of years.
As with the other World Mosaic games, you are given a grid with numbers associated with each row and column - and it is your job to determine which squares/bricks to break and which to keep in order to complete various pictures and move forward in the storyline.
One of the neat things about this game is that it includes several fairy tales I had never heard before as well as several twists to the fairy tales I do know.
Overall, I would highly recommend this game to those who enjoy other mosaic and logic-type games.
