I get almost through Level 4 when an error message comes up and the game crashes. Did it twice, just to make sure. I wish I could get a refund or game credit.
I am surprised by so many positive reviews. While the graphics and story are amusing, the actual game play is lacking.
You produce wood and bricks, over and over again, to rebuild buildings. Most of the buildings don't play any part in game play. They just exist to be rebuilt.
I bought this on sale and did not regret the purchase. Game-play is smooth and pleasant. The challenge level was just okay. Levels in the middle were harder than levels at the end.
A few things didn't make sense to me. Updating the camp doesn't add a worker and I could never tell what benefit I was getting from it.
And you're supposed to be looking for puzzle pieces to earn a bonus level, but I never saw a single one.
It must be time for a new PC, because new games like this one are giving me problems.
Twice while playing, my computer went completely dead. Upon restarting and re-entering the game, all my saved levels had been wiped out and I had to start over.
I was willing to hope it was a fluke and try again, but when the same thing happened, I had to give up.
I don't have this problem playing games I purchased even six months ago, but have run into problems with new games demo'd or purchased recently.
From what I played of this game, it will please people who really like a challenge. You have to play most levels a number of times and adjust your strategy if you want to get gold.
I enjoy games where you have to think, so I do recommend it. But if you want something light, this might not be it.
The legacy of the Weather Lord continues as King Victor and Queen Victoria prepare to pass the royal torch to their daughter, Jenny. But before Jenny can rule, she must learn the ropes!

This game has a lot going for it.
Characters are colorful and fun. Tasks are reasonably challenging. The interface mostly works well.
My main issue is that you can't assign new tasks to workers until they have returned to the camp. Even if the current task doesn't require carrying supplies back to home base, you still have to wait for them to return before you can send them on to something else.
This may not bother some players, but it's enough to prevent me from pulling the trigger.
There are also some minor issues with the way levels are laid out. It's not always clear which areas can be reached on foot versus in a boat. And upgrades to docks don't add additional boats, so if one worker is using the boat, everyone has to wait until he returns.
All that "waiting" bogs down the game and fails to keep my interest. I look forward to subsequent versions which may make improvements in these areas.
