This is my type of game. It's entertaining and easy on the eyes. The graphics are cartoonish but clear enough to see what you are looking for. And the story line isn't too bad either. I played it for about 10 minutes and knew I had made a good purchase. I highly recommend this game to beginners of HOGs and to those that like games that are not evil and dark.
My expectations were not very high for this game but for a new game of 2014 I would have thought it would have been better than it is. This game would be a big hit if it was 1980. In my opinion there is too much dialogue to READ. The music got to be annoying so I had to turn the sound off. And the graphics for the HOGs are not the best and too cluttered. If your eyesight isn't the best I recommend wearing your glasses. I got bored with the game in the first 15 minutes.
I don't recommend this game.

I was skeptical when I bought this game. I thought I had tried playing it years ago and didn't like it. I was wrong. I don't usually play driving games because I'm so terrible at them. Guess what? I STILL AM! But this one makes me laugh when I mess up. TIP: Go to Options/Controls before you play the game so you know what keys to press for blinkers, flashers, horn, etc. And you can change the controls to the keys you want. I love that option. I'm almost 60 and my reflexes aren't as quick as they use to be. This game doesn't frustrate me when I mess up. At the end of each level you have the option to 'Replay' and improve your score. If you want a casual game to play with your family I highly recommend this one. Try not to do donuts in the park if you can help it!
Who is this child and why is she so important? I have not played a HOG in years that I've read the whole storyline and enjoyed the graphics and mini games so much. This game makes you have to think and use your head. Difficult? Sometimes. Impossible? No. I'm not fond of games with spooky villains and farfetched plots but this one was extremely enjoyable and more realistic. The HOG games are like none I've ever played before. The objects are more of a challenge. These HOG's are played with a new twist that I really like. There's more to them than just hunting for items. Traveling through these portals is an adventure in itself. The hint button replenishes quickly. The map is handy and Gears is adorable and always a big help at hard to reach items. I cant believe that this game isn't listed in the Top 10. It's a nice lengthy game. Cons: I would've liked more hidden object scenes. Some of the mini games were too challenging for me (Chemistry for example). Sometimes the wording in the movie scenes go by too fast to read all of it. I wish I could get the game on CD so my elderly friends that don't use the internet can play it.
I do not recommend this as a first game for beginner's of HOG games unless you have a lot of patience and are good at strategy and puzzlers.
I have only found a few of these games that I really like. I was hoping that I could add this one to my collection. The instructions weren't very helpful. And I gave up on trying to get 3 gold stars because the timer kept running out. The task requires certain resources and I couldn't figure out where to replenish them. Very confusing for me. The first 3 levels were ok but I got to frustrated after that. My biggest complaint though are the instructions. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what a field was and then felt really stupid when I finally figured it out and how to get it. I'd recommend this game but not for beginners.
When the game first started it got my hopes up. The graphics are beautiful! But then I started playing it and it got boring real quick. There's no real challenge. You get to buy houses and upgrade them but you don't get to pick where to build your houses and create your little villages. I would like the game a lot better if you could pick the color of the houses, plant flowers around them, etc. I also noticed that it seems that at the beginning of the game your scores seemed bigger but the more houses you get the bigger the game layouts are but you get less points. It just isn't worth my time to keep on clicking for less.
Playrix has done it again. They're my favorite game developers. I fell in love with Barn Yarn and now we have Aquascapes. Anybody that loves hidden object games will love this game. It's amazing! And you get to decorate a bunch of aquariums too. Not just one or two. What I love a lot about Playrix games is how their characters talk to you. They're so cute. They really make you feel like you're inside the game with them. I cant wait for their next creation. These are the only games I have that I play over and over again. It never plays the same.
This is my new favorite game. It's so nice to play a HOG that isn't on the dark side. And I love the simulations. I want more of these games. It's got easy and challenging factors to it. It's absolutely fantastic. My only complaint would be that I cant buy it from a store on CD. I have a friend that lives in the woods and cant get internet and I would love to get this game for her. I wish ALL BFG games could be bought from stores. A lot of people miss out on such great games.
I dont care for games that keep you going back and forth. And I hate having to keep using a hint. Also theres not enough hidden object scenes to keep me playing.
First off.... I have to say that the mini puzzles were my favorite part of this game! I wish there was a game developer that would make a game of just mini puzzles like these. I think it would be a BIG seller and fly off the shelves! As for the game itself a lot of the hidden objects were so small that I had to put my magnifying glasses on to see them. And some of the objects were hidden so stupidly that you had to use a hint to find them (the mushroom for instance). Also, the game ends quickly. And I never figured out how the culprit was found. I was still thinking I had more things to find to see whodunnit. I loved how they used the scrolls as the hidden object lists. That was different. I wish this game developer would make a mini puzzle game (hint hint). I'd be their number 1 fan.
