Sorry to do this, but the glitches are just too much

Everything else is right about this game - it's a Standard Edition, so the price is reasonable; the storyline may be cliched (an abandoned asylum where Something Nasty Happened# but with enough of a twist to be refreshing; plenty - and I do mean plenty - of actions to be completed and hidden object scenes.
If that was all, I'd give it five stars quite happily. Unfortunately, there are two issues - one minor, one major - that means I can't do that. The minor issue is one about translations into English - some of the items in the hidden object scenes are not labelled correctly #the worst was a "flower pot" which turned out to mean a saucepan!) but this isn't a deal-breaker in itself.
What does kill the game is the amount of errors. A particularly bad glitch comes near the end, when in order to progress, you need to find one particular item. Even at the cheap SE price, this is just not good enough, so I have to give this game one star alone for this fault, which is a shame - I liked it very much otherwise.
This is not a bad little game at all, for a Standard Edition it does exactly what you want. There is a choice of difficulty level but even on the easier one, the lack of a strategy guide means that there are one or two points in the game where you will need to think about what to do next.
Mini-games and puzzles are not too hard and there is always the skip option if you get frustrated.
Decent HOG for the price and if the same developers had another game like this out, I'd be willing to buy - and there have been flashier games that disappointed me, so that is a recommendation.
This is a sequel where, once again, you have to help save your sister. The storyline is fairly original and works out well.
There is a lot to do in this game, so in terms of gameplay it is great value for money. In fact, sometimes it feels like there's a little too much to do, so that you're running around all over the place looking for tools in one site to perform an action in another to get something you need for a third location.
However, the game gives you unlimited hints which recharge very quickly and even better than that, a skip button which fills fast so that if you're stuck in a mini-game or just can't be bothered, it will let you skip without penalty and get on with the rest of the plot.
Decent art and music, plenty of hidden objects scenes, and really fast hints and skip buttons make this a recommendation from me.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
This is different to the previous games in that the Hidden Object scenes are, instead, Morphing Object scenes. I'm still undecided about whether I like this or not; it's certainly a new twist on these types of games, but on the other hand, waiting for an object to shift can be annoying.
Background music is much reduced; you get a lot of sound effects (mainly of screaming and crying# but no real soundtrack. There is a sense of humour throughout, from the pleasantly silly #the Madame Fate bobblehead# to the gross #Abigail#. There is real person acting used, but thankfully not to the same extent as in 13 Skulls #where it was just irritating and slowed the pace of the game down much too much). The Strategy Guide also takes some getting used to, as it has no text and doesn't lead you by the hand. Bonus content in the Collector's Edition is also not the usual - it's included in the main game. I was surprised that there weren't any wallpapers or music soundtracks at the end.
To sum up, Big Fish have tried something new and different with this game, which is commendable on their parts, but I'm still undecided if the changes work. I liked this game and I would recommend it, but of all the Ravenhearst games, I definitely like the first one best. That was the scariest one, in my opinion; much scarier than this, even though this is warning for intense psychological storyline.
Enjoyed this one; not too difficult, good storyline, and excellent bonus content. Three modes of play so you can choose your level of difficulty and (on the easiest setting) plenty of hints.
Strategy guide is also well laid out. It won't take very long to play through if you sit down and go straight through, but it's not too short either. Just about long enough and difficult enough. In short, well worth the price.
I gave this game an "Excellent" level of challenge because of its near-impossibility, not its gameplay.
For instance, I walked down a corridor but cannot walk back; instead, I get turned around and - as other reviewers have commented - end up turning in circles.
I am very thankful I used a Game Club Coupon to purchase this and not my own money. The game itself might be interesting, if only there were a simpler or easier way to move around. Ultimately, I have to say I'm disappointed and am not likely to try anything else from this developer.
