When the entire audience disappears from a film screening at an old theater, you must go behind the scenes to find out who is running the mysterious Nightmare Cinema.
The Demo went by way too quick, so want this game. I don't buy CE but I would this one just because I want it now. If I didn't already have the other 2, I would go for the bundle and buy this now, but guess I will wait for the SE. Why does BF do this kind of bundle when they know we already probably own the other games in the bundle. Oh, well, maybe in about 30 days. This game so sucks you into the plot like a really good book you can't put down. Gave 5 stars for all categories and I usually never do that...get this game, either CE or SE, but be sure to treat yourself. Love!!!!
Sorry, I didn't see what others did in this game that was so simple and boring. No voice overs....I repeat, No Voice Overs? First clue this game is from years ago. HOs and puzzles very simple, story is nothing new, graphics are flat and nothing special. Maybe I didn't give it a fair chance as I suffered for only 43 minutes of the 60 minute demo but just could not take any more. Beginners would probably like it as it would make a good starter HO Adventure game for them.
Wish the story was more interesting, just seems same old, same old. I didn't find the puzzles too difficult and that makes it more enjoyable when there isn't frustration. I have enjoyed the puppet series and I don't have suggestions for the storyline but this seemed old and boring. I only played the demo so maybe the story gets more exciting later on, but will wait for the SE. I guess after playing Chimeras, this story seemed flat and I was disappointed but it would be worth the purchase.
This is one of the best I have played in a very long time and so enjoyed every minute, just wish it had been longer. Visuals and voice overs were wonderful, not so challenging that it frustrated me, storyline was excellent. and the it really was fun. I just wish it had gone on and on as I never wanted it to end. Just loved this game, but it did crash once after the prison wagon got turned over. Please make more like this (I think I will play anything with a Phoenix)
I do like the Grim Facade series, they have come a long way. I see a lot of improvement over the last one and look forward to a continuing and improved series in this collection. I like the combination of word and shadow image HOs and that the puzzles aren't real hard (I really dislike puzzles). I won't be buying the CE and will wait for the SE to come out, but will definitely purchase this one. I wish they would give the members who already purchased all the previous games a discount as we can't buy the bundle offer, kind of sucks.
The story line is like so many, which would be alright if the game showed something new and exciting, but it fails. My biggest complaint is how small the text is and it disappears so quick. The HO games seem small too, with small text list. The graphics were boring and the voices were so fake. I just don;t have a lot to say other than it didn't "stink". It was hard for me to make it through the demo so definitely will not be getting the complete download.
Find the festivalgoer abducted by the gargoyles of Notre Dame and uncover the cathedral’s dark past in this reimagining of the Victor Hugo’s classic tale.
Oh how I love these fairy tale/folk stories that we read as kids. I was thinking the other day when I finished Headless Horseman that the Hunchback would be a great story and PRESTO, here it is a few days later. I will be watching for the SE as I already spend too much and don't need another CE. Graphics, sounds, and HOs were very well done, but found some puzzles difficult, but I don't have a lot of patience for puzzles and could just skip them all. I can't wait to see if this story follows the tale of the Hunchback...please keep these type stories coming.
The graphics are so bad you can't tell where to put the pieces as everything is the same muted tone. Would be nice if someone could produce a nice graphics puzzle game as I do love jigsaw puzzles but want to be able to tell the difference between open spaces and the actual piece. This was a wasted effort for creation and can't even see how small kids could do this without getting frustrated. Don't even bother with the demo as I lasted about 5 minutes before I closed and uninstalled.
Even though I found the HOs easy and the puzzles fairly simple, which makes me happy because I don't care for the puzzles, I really liked this game. The scenes are beautifully done, enjoyed the story and voice overs, and the interactive map. I would probably buy this one just because of the story but am interested in the length of the game before I did so. I wish all games from BF were fairy tale like, but then it would be hard for me to decide which to buy. Bring more of these type games our way, even if it would put me in the poor house.
I really hate giving a bad review when you think about the hard work and hours that goes into producing a game, but this deserves it. This game would have been acceptable maybe 3 or 4 years ago, but games have advanced and this one got left behind. Use your demo hour to kill time but don't waste credits or money. Story was old, HOs were just things thrown around to fill the screen, puzzles did not have good instructions and made no sense, graphics were old, .... What is something good that I can say? Ahhhhhhh
