I loved everything about this game. Everything. The storyline, the epic feel, the Drawn like atmospheres, you name it. Really great extras including quite a substantial extra chapter made this one worth the money, not to mention collectibles, morphing items, tons of mini games and a whole whack of achievements to strive for. These are definitely my faves and are the closest thing to epic adventures that we used to see in series like the Drawn series. I really love this style of game. This felt like the whole package. Bravo MHG's. well done. I have missed these kinds of games,
I recommend this game!

This one really stands out from all the rest. Now here was a storyline!! I actually found myself on edge through several parts of this game as it was so well done. It also had me jumping in my chair... nice touch. There have been so many reviews of this game..135 at the time of this writing.. that I won't go into great detail as that has already been covered. Suffice it to say that this one had it all. Amazing graphics and cut scenes, incredibly imaginative storyline, lots of mini games, tons of interesting characters, collectibles, achievements to strive for and lots of extras to make it CE worthy. I even found myself humming the opening tune for several days after who's lyrics include... you just have to go above and beyond.. that's all. And in this game MHG's have gone above and beyond. Don't miss this one or you really will have missed out.
I recommend this game!

This one had pretty much everything. Beautiful graphics, tons of locations and inventory objects, challenging collectibles, a mix of HO scenes and lots of really fun mini games that you could choose to play in an easier mode or a more difficult one. I love this option as I personally like mini games that challenge me. VO's were quite well done and it had a decent length bonus chapter as well as a small extra puzzle. It allowed you to go back at the end and complete any collectibles that you missed which I really like as there is nothing worse than trying hard all game to complete all the achievements only to find that in the end you missed one measly collectible. I also like it when the devs make the achievements something to strive to finish and not too easy like they did here.
All in all this was a really good game package.. so why not five stars from me? I did take off one star for the done to death storyline both in the main game and the bonus chapter. You are hired to search for Bill who has gone missing in the main chapter and your sister is kidnapped in the bonus. It seems that we are never going to move off this storyline. What can you do? Regardless, this was a good game with a lot going for it and I really did enjoy it.
I recommend this game!

This one had a bit of everything. Bright and clear with lots of color and plenty of detailed scenes. Loved the statues that howled and their eyes lit up when you clicked them. Plenty of pretty details also like little pink butterflies on flowers. Very nice.
You had three abilities. A palette for painting animals that then came to life, a tuning fork to break through things and a magical book that held mythical creatures like ogres and such. Also the addition of a doll helper who, when appropriately clothed, became everything from a firefighter to being invisible in order to help you progress in the game. Really different and fun. A variety of HOP's here. Three of each, silhouettes, use this to find that.. all different. But the best part for me was the huge assortment of mini games. Some quite easy and others more complex. Overall this game was not difficult but there really was a lot of variety and that really made it fun. A good number of achievements to achieve and two different collectibles. Olive branches and coins hidden in vases. Both could be used to buy stuff as you went along. Decent if not overly original storyline. Overall this game had enough variety and extras going on to keep it fun and entertaining. I really enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!

I did like this one. I liked the collectible crowns that were really a challenge to find! Thank goodness I left the map so it would show a crown icon if there were more to collect in a given location. This prompted me to return and search more than once. There were sixty to collect in total.
Decent storyline about a ruby ring that determines who will be King and how one false one was created with a demon entity attached. There were some varied and sometimes challenging HO scenes and some really fun puzzles. A few achievements to strive for in this one also. Nothing unusual, just the basics... do 5 HO's without using a hint etc.
For me.. I did find the storyline in the bonus chapter a bit sappy. The villain becomes the hero.. but whatever. It was still pretty good with a reasonable length to both the main chapter and the bonus chapter. Be prepared for a fair bit of back and forth in this one also.
But overall it was a nice game that held some challenge which I really like and we don't see all the time. So well done. Good solid game with pretty scenes and good use of color that was fun to play.
I recommend this game!

Wow what a unique and interesting game. Trust Mad head to go off the beaten path with a truly inspired storyline and really well put together game. You begin as subject 360, a woman who has crashed her car and has been awakened by a local who seems to be the only one in town who isn't asleep... but barely. The extra chapter then has you play as the local who woke you up and shows us how it all began.
Well hidden collectibles, morphing objects and a good amount of achievements to strive for. If you miss a collectible you can retrieve it in the end. I like that. The extra HO was fun to play and I liked how the demon child talks to you when you complete the extra jigsaw. Nice HO scenes and some quite good puzzles round this out.
If you are looking for something different and fun with a decent storyline then look no further than this one. Highly recommend. I loved this one. I am quite sure that I will be back to play this more than once and since I have some five hundred to choose from, that's saying something! . Very good. Don't miss it.
I recommend this game!

This one really reminded me of this rhyme. There was something old in the use of the under ground tunnels that we have seen before in several of their other games. Same four tunnels, same cool visuals while riding them. Something borrowed from many other games was the strong female heroine and the character that works with her. We have seen them before too. But having said that there was something new in both the storyline.. a criminal who somehow escaped through electrical lines during his electrocution and is now killing people.. very good and quite a few new and interesting mini games. I really enjoyed the mini games in this one. As for the something blue I am sure there were a lot of blue things here. I was really pleased here with the level of detail.. right down to the small.. what looked to be ladybugs that crawled across the screen. This was a game that could keep your interest despite the ever so obvious rehashing of many scenes and ideas. I did like this one quite a bit.. it felt well put together and detailed and the mini games were enough to really make you think. It was a good length and had a decent extra chapter. INice job.
I recommend this game!

For me this whole game was on thin ice. A very formatted game from Eipix . The art work was beautiful. It had the usual extras like achievements, souveniers and three stars in all of the HOP's. And for that reason it was a decent game but with a rather been there, seen that storyline from them. Well at least no one was kidnapped or went missing! My biggest issue with this game was the complete lack of any challenge even on the hardest setting. After a few scenes I began to count how many seconds it took me to find the collectible globe thing and it almost always went like this.. one.. maybe 2 on a "harder" ones. No challenge there. The mini games.. usually my favourite part.. were almost childish they were so easy. The HOP's were decent. I do like the way Eipix does them with several levels and has some with riddles to figure out and that they contain morphing objects. I also really enjoy their match three option. So there were good parts to this one but overall just not enough to hold my interest. I didn't bother with the bonus chapter after the short main game finished. Nothing I could sink my teeth into here. Pretty but much too easy with a cookie cutter storyline and nothing new or exciting. Glad I bought it on sale.

This one was pretty darn entertaining. Lots of dragons everywhere. Collectible bamboo sticks, morphing objects in the Ho's and a good selection of achievements to strive for. Some really lovely settings here and a fair amount of variety in both the mini games and the inventory objects. I did find this one flowed quite well. My only negative critique would be that the mini game at the end of the main chapter was dead easy. Kind of anti climactic. But overall the story was decent, it showed some good imagination, the HO scenes were multi leveled and the mini games were fun. Add to that really good sound and beautiful graphics and well... what else is there? This was typical Eipix and quite entertaining. I had fun playing it and there was enough variety to keep even a seasoned player like myself from getting bored. Give it a try!
I recommend this game!

First off this game was long. Bravo. Big points from me just for that. It was also beautiful with great use of color and tons of detail. And I'm a player that notices detail, right down to things like small red flowers in a scene. This one also had a bonus chapter and a hidden chapter adding to the length and making it really worth the money.
Okay.. so second really great thing was how much there was to do. Every location had many things to find or unlock. There were three collectibles in every scene. Three! and they were sometimes really not easy to find. Wow I love this! More devs should do this. I loved searching for the shards of glass. It's just no fun if you walk into every scene and pick out the collectible in two seconds flat. This game made me work for them and I did find all 114. Very good. I liked that there was a tab at the side where you could keep track of whether or not you had found them all. It also took you to the achievements which were mostly game play related but did have some you had to strive for as well.
Then there were all the extras thrown in like your owl who gets up to high places you can't reach and who covers up and has a nap if you are still for too long. Then the clocks which when you piece them back together, require you to use a ring which then produces an amulet where you search for glowing runes. these are then used to find a "mystical piece" that you must match somewhere within the locations. Incredible!
The first HO scene is three different scenes and you must move the objects back and forth between them to finish. There are not too many HO scenes in the beginning but they pick up as you go along. There is also the story being told that opens into a book where you must find and replace missing pieces. With each three or so that you find, the story continues. Just a ton of things to do in this one.
BUT my most favorite of all was the mini games!! There was an icon in options that let you check if you wanted the mini games to be a bit harder and I instantly clicked it. And there was such a huge selection of mini games. I especially liked the fish in the maze and the slide jigsaw puzzle. Some I solved in as little as a minute while other took in excess of twenty. I really like having to work at solving the puzzles.
My only not so positive was the storyline. The old evil mwa ha ha guy who wants to take over all worlds and despite having lots of opportunity, seems unable to stop you. Whatever. I actually didn't mind as the storyline really took a backseat to everything else in this game. I liked that my character actually spoke. Too often everyone has a voice except you so it was nice. Overall I was very impressed with this one. Really great graphics, tons to do and best of all it actually had some challenge. Bravo! Really well done. I loved it. Earns five stars from me.
I recommend this game!
