The levels are more in depth and longer (20 or more minutes) than previous versions. There are many different goals that pop up at the bottom of the screen as you uncover areas of the map or build special buildings. I love that there are optional goals as well as goals that figure into your star rating for the level. Overall the levels aren't timed, but some of the individual goals are. The main screen is primarily an interactive storyline that strings the levels together. On the map, you get to see what emergencies are happening and then what equipment or personnel you need to play through the scenario. If something is missing, you get to research, buy equipment, place buildings and train volunteers. Generally, the game gives you hints to guide you through any important points in this process. There may also be storyline dialog that happens in between. I really love what they've done here and hope we see more of this type of game.

Miscategorized as a time management game. Organize the switches on the tracks to direct trains to the correct stations. I didn't find this very fun, but some puzzle fans might. (No resource management at all.). There is a pause button so you can try to avoid crashes which decreases the stress level quite a bit. (Although it looks like some levels will be timed.) Music was very repetitive and there are typos already in the tutorial. Sigh.

I love all the Clutters anyway, and the addition of new interesting artwork and music have really added something great to the game play. The story line premise is hilarious if you are a fan of the series from the "Leon" days, but you won't get lost if you didn't delve into previous versions. Gameplay starts you off with the highly addictive junkpile "classic" clutter interspersed with sliders, quotes and the storyline of course. I had to force myself to stop playing for a few mintues, so that I could come give this game a 5 star rating! Another note: there are many more setting options now. I was able to turn down the sound effects without turning down the music. There is also a toggle to turn on and off the timer for relaxed gaming. a "difficulty level" setting and a whole lot more to customize to your gaming style.

I was very excited to see a new offering by the maker of the Clutter games. While my favorite part of Clutter is the clutter clearing and not the mini-games, I am happy to have something to do while I wait for the next installment of the base game. I love variety puzzles and this game does not disappoint: Sliders, Square Jigsaws, Box Quotes, and Stretch and Skew (exchange tiles that are different sizes to complete a picture). Lots of variations of these games are included and basically they are just a lot of fun. Got this one right away.

Caelum is a "Peggle-like" game that I really wanted to like because I love Peggle, but somehow it misses the mark. 1) The ball is very small and doesn't always hit in a way that you expect (i.e. the physics are a little odd). 2) There are only 3 power-ups which you get immediately and due to the size of the ball, one of them is useless. There is nothing to "earn" here, nothing to spend points on or work up to - every puzzle is just that, another puzzle. 3) I decided not to read the story line after the first bad joke. 4) There is no "art" to speak of at all, no cute characters or interesting backgrounds. The only thing that changes is the position of the balls. In the end, I gave up and uninstalled; it just isn't very fun.
Based on DEMO, I probably will buy. Very much the same feel as the original - harvest crops, chop down trees and complete the objectives before time runs out - with a seasonal theme! Pretty easy too.

Well I've never reviewed a game before - but after playing through some of the levels, I had to put in my 2p about this one. This game deserves so much better than 2 stars IMO.
Positives: This "road" type strategy/time management game is really cute in story line and graphics. Game play is similar to the "Roads of Rome" and "My Kingdom" games in that you have workers that clear roads, pick berries and chop down trees which is (I think) just intrinsically fun. Mouse over to collect resources is nice (much better than a click fest). Resources don't disappear quickly or inconspicuously. There is plenty of flashing to alert you beforehand.
Maybe good, maybe bad: Previous reviewers note about the time limit is accurate. The challenge level is very high if you are trying to get gold as the time seems to run out very quickly. I have already had to repeat levels (in the tutorial!) for the gold star. Personally, so far, I love it! I enjoy having to strategize, rethink and really efficiently use resources in order to get expert. However. at level 30 or so, I might change my mind!
Negatives: One timing negative is that while there seems to be plenty of time to get the bronze star, if the time runs out, you do have to restart the level. Nothing truly unique yet - very similar to a lot of the other "road" games. No queuing of workers' tasks. I hate when developers make the workers act like just another resource.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for very relaxed play, you may want to pick a different game. If you are like me and have played the others and are ready for a challenge, you may find this game as awesome I as I did!
