I really loved this game. For one thing I was getting tired of storylines with spooks and romance or spooky romances. This was a real mystery. I liked all the extra collectibles and morphing items to find in the Collector's Edition. However, I missed a couple and at the very end, I wasn't allowed to go find them so I could complete that. I feel that if I pay for a game, I should be able to do that.

While I love hidden games that are challenging and gives me a sense of accomplishment. This one could get frustrating at times. Having the hint tell me an item was behind a locked door was informative, except the key for the door was not anywhere in site. I was forced to click all over the place until I found it. I'm surprised I got thru the entire game twice.
The story was quirky. The graphics were OK, except for when the discoverable items were transparent or the EXACT SAME color as the background without any outline.
I have to admit, I'm not that into puzzles or mini-games, but the ones in this game were fun and good challenges.
If you like simple graphics this game is for you.
I recommend this game!

My pet peeve with some of the "collector's edition" games is not knowing what the collectables/puzzle pieces are or look like before I start playing. It should be part of the tutorial for special features. By the time I find out, previous rooms have been locked. Then, when checking out the achievements, there's no way to go back to fill in collectables/puzzle pieces that were missed. I paid for the collector's edition so there should be a feature at the end where I can go back and collect anything I missed. I don't want to restart the game to do that.
I don't recommend this game.

This game reminded me of "Hidden Folks" for Android, which I adored and play often.
There are three challenges on each level. Find the one game card, find the collectibles, which gives you a bonus. You don't need to find all of them in order to get to the next level. To progress through the levels, you'll need to find all the items displayed at the bottom of the screen. Each item comes with a clue as to where to find it. The challenge is to figure out what the clue means, otherwise you'll need to scan every nook and cranny to find it. Sometimes it's right out in the open. Other times, the item is hidden behind a rock or couch or other thing. I found that finding the collectibles was harder because there is no clue for them. They could be anywhere, like in a fan's vent where you have to click several times in order to make the collectible plop out.
BTW - there are awards for how many monitors you've turned on and how many food items you've eaten. Pretty funny when you can clean out an entire bakery or grocery store.
The story line is cute and humorous. It's an alien news program about invading earth and how one human can/might mess up other civilizations.
This isn't a super resolution game. There are sound effects for just about everything, which I think makes it cute. Sometimes I clicked on something just to find out what the exclamation was. There's a zoom option, which is very handy. You move around the level by dragging your cursor around the screen. Some of the areas are large so it's good to find what you're looking for, like a "bar", and then zoom into it to see if you can find your item.
This game is on my "let's play it again" list, which is not very large.
I recommend this game!

I love the Mystery Tracker series and have all of them. I was excited to see a new one. I'm not disappointed at all with new characters and Elf going in hiatus/vacation. I'm hoping this was an introduction story about new (and younger) detectives. I'm also hoping that they are augmenting the old crew and the storylines will get more robust with another Elf-type character to help out. My disappointment lies in the game minimizing at weird times when I'm playing. That was bad enough. Then, during the bonus game, I couldn't pin the horn on the statue no matter how many times I tried. The "hint" indicated that's what was needed, but it just wouldn't stick. Same with the cube item going into the altar. I finally gave up. I guess those kids will be stuck in the dungeon for eternity. Others have already commented on the voices and graphics and I agree that they're sub-par for Elephant Games. Perhaps they're also training a "replacement crew" of developers and this is their training run. I shouldn't have had to pay for it tho'.
I don't recommend this game.

I love all 5 Spellarium games. There IS a story line there. It has good "stopping" points, which means that I can be playing while I wait for emails or audit conference calls. After you complete the main game in each, you can keep playing the match 3 in a random order. The main game is interspersed with different puzzles and card games. There aren't any extras you need to purchase to keep playing, which I love. These are the only games I've played over and over.
I recommend this game!

I have to admit that this is the first time I'm playing a game like this. One with no interaction with characters and is solving puzzles only. Forgive me if I'm not impressed.
This game doesn't really fit into the "hidden object" category. Playing the pair/triple matching of items or the Match 3 game or complete a simple jigsaw puzzle gets boring. The story only advances with some sentences about where you are & what's needed & how the relationship is so important to the main character. The puzzles don't have ANYTHING to do with the story. There are some "crystals" you can collect during the pairing games, but I don't know what the goal is in collecting them. Do I get extra points when I clear the board? Does it allow me to skip levels, what?
I downloaded all 4 games that have to do with Ariadna. This is the first one I've played. I got thru Chapter 11, Level 110 before I had to quit. I guess I've got quite a few no-brainer, pass-the-time, games to keep me occupied for a long time.
I had to reboot my brain with a true hidden object game. One that has a story that advances when you apply items from your inventory.
This is just a game, with VERY limited audio (think background music & some sound effects). In fact, I turn off the sound and listen to music when I play this.
I recommend this game for anyone who wants to play a game on a level with tic-tac-toe.
I recommend this game!

I purchased the collector's edition thinking that it would have something extra.I know there was a disclaimer on this game. There are puzzles without any instructions, there is no "map" feature to get from one place to another quickly, a villain who makes you go thru his terrible experiences, and some very disturbing robot scenes. After playing maybe half of it, I realized that this game was not fun for me. Maybe it's because this is an older game, but there's no interaction or hopeful goal, at least as far as I went. This is the 4th Ravenhearst game I've played. It takes me great effort to get past the storyline and just play the scenes presented. Yuck. (on the plus side, it's not another romantic damsel-in-distress game.)
I don't recommend this game.
