I paid for this game, and it's one of the few I've really regretted. The basic play is not that different from other TM games of this kind, but the bugs and bonus structure make it almost unplayable.
Bugs: In about every third game something goes wrong with one of the "orders"--most often, a worker gets stuck on a single task, so that you're now down a worker for the rest of the level unless you restart. Other times the request to build or upgrade a building gets stuck. Occasionally there's a bank error in your favor, so you temporarily have an extra worker, but that's less common and just seems further proof of the problem code. I *only* had to restart about one in ten levels, but that's a LOT more than any other TM game I've played in the past decade.
Bonuses: Whoever came up with the bonus system must have been coming down from a three-day Candy Crush bender. As with many other games, you earn bonus credits as you play (in this case, gems). However, instead of simply purchasing bonuses such as "walk faster" you have to PLAY A SLOT MACHINE to try to win *different credits* toward the bonuses. Each spin of the machine takes ten seconds to complete, and then you have a 1/? chance of actually winning a portion of a random bonus. Truly awful.
There's an alternate bonus mechanism that lets you play a shell game instead of slots for a time-sensitive (rather than persistent) bonus. I'd rather just not have any bonuses than these ridiculous torture sessions.
I don't recommend this game.

Build a railway, operate railroad points and semaphores to help your trains avoid crashes and to deliver cargo in time!

I was looking through old games, and discovered this little gem. It's not like any of the time management games I've seen in the past few years, including the other railroad-building games. This has a high puzzle factor, as well as combining both road-building and cooking-type time-management elements. It also really feels like building a model railroad--just the track-and-trains part, not the scenery building.
Rather than building a pre-determined route, in this game you're offered possible routes and have to determine the optimal connections to reach various destinations. These include raw materials pick-ups, and both drop-offs and pick-ups for factories as well as the depot(s) where you can sell materials and products. For example, you might need to pick up corn and drop it off at a bread factory, then pick up the the bread and MORE corn to sell both at the depot. This can be complicated by the number of cars you can pull (1, 2, 3, or 4).
Once everything is built, you also may have to make on-the-fly decisions about switching at junctions. This gets more complicated as the objectives get more complicated, and your number of trains increases.
There are other complications and obstacles introduced in different levels; some require careful route plotting ahead of time, while others require quick reflexes--and the really hard levels require both.
I can generally fly through most time management games on expert level, but I'm finding this one very challenging. There are power-ups that you can buy along the way, but they don't make as huge a difference as in some games. For example, you can buy extra time--but it drops randomly on the tracks, and must be "picked up" by a train, so on complicated tracks it can take almost as long to pick up as it gives you, and you can't just wait until the last moment to purchase it.
Overall, I recommend trying this if you like time management and want to try something a little different.

How to get past Level 45

The game is slightly buggy, but Level 45 is doable if you go in the right order. The key thing to know is that the marauders stop coming after you fix the flooding--so don't fix it until after you've arrested all three marauders. (Your workers will walk right through most of the flood water, so you only need it cleared to get to the last bridge.)
Also, if you're not using all the bonuses--both the ones that come automatically but need to activate periodically within each level and the ones that you "buy" from the map and then permanently improve performance--you won't ever be able to get to three stars on all the levels.
Slightly more detail for Level 45:
1. Clear and collect enough resources to get to the closest two building sites.
2. At the bottom-most building, build a farm. Don't improve it yet. This is the marauders' target, and you want to leave it alone for a while. You'll only get maybe one bowl of food from it before the first marauder comes, but if you're in the midst of upgrading when a marauder comes it may glitch. IMPORTANT: If a marauder comes but seems to get "stuck" (it keeps walking in place), just restart, because that's a real glitch that can't be worked around. That seems to be more likely if the marauder comes when you have a worker there, which is why you don't want to do more than build the basic building yet.
3. Build a woodshop and steel shop at the next two building locations, clearing as you go. Upgrade those as needed.
4. Keep clearing to get to the police station, and build that. Send the police to arrest the first marauder, and then wait and arrest the next two marauders.
5. While you're waiting for marauders, build as much of the first bridge as you can. Once you've got up over ten wood, tear down the woodshop and build a gas station. When you have more than twenty-two steel beams, tear down the steel factory and build a headquarters (money). Build the special equipment hangar for the next stage of bridge construction.
5. After you've arrested all three marauders, improve the kitchen as much as you can, repair the water tank, and pump out the water.
6. Finish building the first bridge and build the second bridge.
All done!
I recommend this game!
