I like Elephant Games. I like Big Fish games. But this mish-mosh leaves a lot to be desired. I kept playing it, hoping that it would get better. The characters were poorly drawn - not what I'd expect from either of these developers. The storyline is mediocre. Why they set it in Dire Grove is beyond me, as it had little to do with the game. Half of the interior scenes didn't even match Dire Grove, so why bother? I've gotten through the whole game and it never explained what happened to Lily. Maybe I'll find out in the bonus chapter? The complex puzzles did nothing but interrupt the flow of the story. They didn't seem as logical as the ones for Fate's Carnival, and I found myself clicking on the "puzzle hint" button just to get through them. I didn't like having a voice for the detective. It worked fine in all of the other MCF to be silent, having my thoughts pop up on the screen. And where is the humor? I make a mistake and get a bland response like "I must be more tired than I thought." I like being called "clicky-pants!" The humor is one of the things that set the MCF games apart. I just can't see myself replaying this one like I do all of the other MCF games. I am really disappointed.
I don't recommend this game.

I do not usually buy match three games, but play them time to time in between HOPA's for a brain rest. I can see that this would't be a challenge for the average M3/TM player. But to me, life is stressful enough without having added stress in a game. I've found this relaxing, and addictive if I'm not careful! There are two types of games - match 3 and a colored block game. They both have 150 levels, so you really get your moneys word as far as time goes. There is no story line, so nothing distracting from the game levels. The music is pleasant so I left it on.
