I rarely buy "physics" games because I'm just not good at them. I found this game to be more interesting, more visually attractive, and challenging but not impossible. I admit that I had to find screenshots online to solve some of the levels, and even a video solution on a few. The fact that I stuck to it instead of giving up is a testament to how much fun this game is. I've been playing it for several hours every day since I bought it. Each time I finish the entire game, I play it all over again. It is highly addictive.
There seems to be quite a split of opinion on this game. It is an old school HOG with easy puzzles. It's basically Huntsville with more puzzles. I did enjoy the revisit to characters from previous games. I did not enjoy the lack of storyline. Each "room" is just a HOG, not an actual room with story elements and places to explore within the room. There were some puzzles within some of the HOGS, which made them more interesting than classic HOGS. I'm not a fan of picture puzzles, and there were a lot of those. I found the blueprints and making of the keys to be an odd and trivial aspect of the game, just an annoyance. I did love the "super puzzles". They are very quirky like the original ones from Madame Fate. They were a lot of fun, especially the one in which you shave the dolls heads. That was hilarious. But they were very easy compared to earlier super puzzles. I love the music and sound effects from the original Ravenhearsts, but those endless walking sounds and visuals of approaching a generic door and opening it with the detective's gloved hand were a waste of time. I'm split on the cartoonish characters. They are appropriate for the return to the original MCF games, but I do prefer the more sophisticated graphics of the games starting with Return to Ravenhearst. I would have loved to see Victor, the TV heads, and Charles as the original video and voice versions. It didn't make sense to me that Allison was one of the characters. She is not a part of the Ravenhearst/Madame Fate intertwined storylines. So, overall, I do really love the Ravenhearst/Madame Fate characters, but old school HOGS are not for me.
I recommend this game!

I am a big fan of the Snark Busters Series. I enjoyed this one as much as the first two. Unlike some of the other reviewers, my graphics were clear and game play was smooth, no glitches. The story line was cute. For some reason, the duchess reminds me of Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle. She's sadly dastardly. The friendly ghosts have a big part in telling the story and keeping it moving in a logical manner. I found myself laughing or giggling at some of the more colorful characters. Voice overs were enjoyable, no bad acting, pleasing voices. I do love those British accents. I found the puzzles to be challenging enough, not the hardest I've encountered, but not boringly easy either. One of the things I like best about the Snark series is going back and forth through the mirrors. It's fun to see the alternative worlds. The light-heartedness and the goofy, upbeat music of this series make it one of my favorites. I bought this game without doing the demo first, and I was not disappointed.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game for its nostalgic and lighthearted feel. The graphics from the original book are colorized and integrated into the game. For me it was fun, although easy, the kind of game I like to play when I just want to relax. This game is not competing against Hidden Object blockbusters like Mystery Case Files and I am not comparing it to those games (even though I am a fanatic fan of MCF). This game is well worth the Daily Deal price of $2.99 for those who love hidden object only games and for those who are fans of the block print illustrations of the early editions.
