The match 3 premise is ok, graphics and artwork are nice.
There are two things that spoil the game for me:
The rotating pieces you have to click on to select which token you want I find incredibly annoying and distracting.
But the thing that totally ruined the game for me was the dreadful voice-acting that you can't turn off unless you turn off all the sounds. I've never heard such dreadful voice acting. I didn't make it past about 15 minutes of the demo because of it.
I've only just found this little game so apologies for the late review. I enjoyed it and found it challenging enough for what it is but there are a few annoyances.
Firstly, collecting gold is pointless after a while - once you've purchased the strongest ship, gold is useless. Same for experience points.
Secondly, the music does get a little tedious after a while but that's only a minor gripe.
But the most important thing, which others have already said and I think REALLY ruins this game is the end. The last (I assume it's the last) level is not match three and you just can't beat it. It doesn't seem to matter what you click, the other ship always wins and this is why I can't recommend the game. Such a shame to end like that.

I am an old fan of the Jane's Hotel games, so was quite happy to see a new one pop up. However, I have mixed feelings about this one.
There is some good stuff about this game such as polished graphics and smoother clicking between tasks but, as others have said, there is too much emphasis on Cassie's (the maid) tasks. For some reason hers don't stack up like Jane's do: instead of taking blankets to two guests at the same time, she will keep going back and forth to fetch them. Same with towels. Yet Jane can serve two or three burgers/coffees. And don't get me started with the plants!! I means seriously - if you watered plants three times a day in real life ... they'd die!
And it's usually Cassie's tasks that are wanted which makes for rather unbalanced gameplay. Jane stands around a lot. I preferred the idea of having the bellboy as well (forget which of the Jane's games had him) - maybe he could take over the darned plant watering! I haven't come to the point of the palace hotel yet so maybe he pops up there.
I'm still having fun with this, and so far, don't mind repeating the levels where so much emphasis has been on Cassie that some guests haven't been served so goals haven't been met. But there is much that could be improved.
I would recommend the game but with the caveat that, in my opinion, it's not as good as the originals.
