I enjoyed playing this game a lot. The story line made sense and kept me motivated. The HOP were fun as were the puzzle games. I don't do bubble-shooting so I skipped those. The creep factor was kind of high (including music) but I got used to it since the story was so good. Really liked that the bonus game followed the story line to it's complete conclusion.
There is a big language problem here - things you're looking for aren't correctly named in the menu - and the expectation of understand what's going on is flawed: you don't just need to figure out how to do something, you also must get a clue as to what you're apparently expected to do. Nice imagery though, and the story, while quite simple, is okay. Really like that this is bright and uplifting rather than dark and creepy. I also like my character being a friend rather than a detective.
It's possible I'm just jaded by how many times I've played this exact game with other characters and a slightly different story line. The women's rights aspect was nice - but it came out about a minute before the end. The games and HOPs are sometimes too challenging (often not enough instructions) or so easy you wonder: why? The script is translated from something other than English so the people sound really stilted and sometimes stupid. And why is everything always in the 19th Century? And I'm really tired of forging my own stuff (incorrectly!).
