3 cases, 3 ambitious detectives, paranormal activity, an evil organization, a dangerous mission. Sounds good to me!
I had to laugh when Dorian made the brilliant statement, 'This fire feels hot." Really?? So that started the demo which I did enjoy. I liked the puzzles and HOPs. all had a nice gratifying challenge. The morphs and other collectibles were moderately difficult to spot in the dark scenes. The always appreciated popout tab kept me on track.
The dark scenes weren't overly cluttered and held the usual tasks though not so many this time and didn't slow the pace of the game. Anna was not in the demo. Blackthorne was a bit cheeky! Brwon was more laid back. I don't care much for changing from one character to another but it does keep things interesting.
The helicopter arrived to whisk us away to the forboding island as the demo ended. I own just a couple of Detectives United games. This one surprisingly caught my attention, enough to want to buy the game. Seems like a busy adventure once we land on the island.
Extra content is a little light, imo, a smaller amount of HOPs and games which I prefer. I thought the wallpapers were horrible! Great map. No tech issues in the demo.
This batch of 200 puzzles offers beautiful, bright, colorful images. I found very few of animals, birds, flowers, sealife. As usual there are always pics that do not appeal to me but will be attractive to other puzzlers, as we all have different tastes, Such as rocks, feet, flip flops, food and drink, a dead fish, towel and soap, all found here,
There is a locked 6th category. I am again baffled as to why a dev wants to hide part of the game. For me it serves only as frustration and apprehension, There's no guarantee of a pleasant surprise waiting to be discovered. The graphics are very sharp and bright, really beautiful color, an okay mix of subject matter. If you love summer these puzzles will have you smiling. I liked many of them but not to the point of wanting to buy the game.
There's a variety of piece styles and lots of puzzle sizes that we all love finding in our puzzle games. I love trying the different options because they change the challenge and make assembly lots of fun and more interesting.
Even though it's not a purchase for me, it is definitely worthy of 5 stars.
I love the graphics and the storyline. Ghost ships are always a great topic and creepy. I hope Domini didn't mess it up! The adventure always seems to take backseat to the multitude of tasks which is my biggest beef with Domini.
The demo is full of them slowing the pace with find, replace, repair and using silly makeshift "tools". Why am I using a bouncing ball with a compass? To make a slingshot, of course! The puzzles were really fun, a mix of new and familiar. I didn't enjoy the HOPs very much even though they were very creative. The 5 second click penalty was an annoying interruption, unnecessary.
Collectibles and morphs somewhat challenging because of dark scenes, the usual amount to collect. A good balance of puzzles and HOPs. I do a lot of skipping if there are too many puzzles because they become tiring. Doable amount here.
Paranormal stories always get my attention. We don't often see ghost ships. I gravitate towards anything involving the sea or underwater adventure. Usually so mysterious and scary. Hopefully this one remains interesting and provides a good mystery to solve. I've not been impressed with Domini games for a very long while.
I like the cat theme but other than the spirit cats I saw just a few. Being a cat lover I don't like to see them depicted as evil or dangerous even if ghosts and in just a game. Graphics were good but dark. Characters looked and sounded good but the accents faltered.
Not too many tasks, consisted of the usual feed the cat, scare the crow, spray the bugs, etc. Not much color anywhere, mostly dark browns. HO scenes were quite the junk piles and dark which I didn't like, it hindered spotting the items. Interactive items were small, hard to recognize, also hard to know where to use them. The HOPs were challenging as a result. Puzzles were fun, not complicated.
Collectibles and puzzle pieces difficult to spot in the darkness. I quit looking so I wouldn't waste demo time. Pullout tabs helped to keep track of them. Earned a few achievements without even trying. Quite a lot of dialogue, I felt it important not to skip. My detective work was picking up once I reached the mansion and met Jessica's mother but then the demo ended.
I think it may be a decent adventure with the Egyptian history and the cats involved. I want to read reviews of the completed game before deciding to purchase. I would opt for the SE as I felt the CE was short on extra content.
I do wish my character was more than just hands. Even a face would do!
I like everything about this game and own the previous two. The colors aren't bright and gorgeous, to me it's remarkable how they transform the pictures into beautiful pieces of art. There are 95 levels of long lasting fun with great replay value.
Lots of features that are very helpful. Paint By Pixel is a different kind of painting that is very satisfying to me. I love the variety of subject matter. I appreciate the lovely art that is so different than what we usually see in paint by number games. When painting the individual numbers the pixels fall away to cover the colors. There's also a feature that lets you paint an area of all one color with just one quick click. I love the auto solve feature to get those stray cells that are difficult to find.
The game has lots to make it unique, interesting and entertaining. A great purchase today for $4.50. A real bargain for such quality entertainment.
There is so much tutorial to read if you're new to Atlantis Solitaire. I like to check it out in case something has finally changed but these games rarely do throughout the series.
I don't think this one is as attractive as the previous games. The cards are not very pretty however they are nice and big, easy on the eyes. I don't like the swirly blue things that deliver your winnings and palace parts. The graphics are pretty but not as colorful as before. The palace in the demo was not so eye-catching, so not as much fun to build, imo. The visual appeal just is not there this time.
I earned a couple of unexpected achievements. Sometimes more than one card would flip over and there were too many of the same face cards on the table. The later levels seemed to have more of these irritants and spoiled some of the fun. Building the palace was slow, many additions. I was just anxious to see the end result but ran out of time.
I love the challenge levels, little time to play in the demo so passed them up. Game challenge increased slightly as I played, loved the obstacles for extra challenge. It was all the familiar entertainment that we get from Atlantis Solitaire. Mega amount of levels and bonus levels and games.
It's an outstanding solitaire if you like to keep collecting them in this series. The CE will surely please you.
I like the Big Adventure series. The graphics are always bright and sharp, people wearing big smiles, a terrific amount of HOs, locations are super busy. Today's game doesn't stray from the usual format.
The racoon, stamps and souvenirs are the hardest for me to spot as they are so well blended into the background. Many objects are very small and colors too dark. I find the game quite challenging because the locations are full of everything but the kitchen sink. Large items are hidden in plain sight and I seem to find them only by accident. Even the small zoom zones are tricky. I have trouble recognizing items in the clutter. A magnifier is really needed and the hand doesn't easily pick up and deliver items from the list. There are never any tech issues.
Usually I would have lots of fun with Big Adventure. The fine quality is apparent in every game but they prove to be too much for my not-so-great eyesight now. They have become too time consuming and frustrating for me, so today's game will be a no purchase, unfortunately.
The CE is usually my choice even without a bunch of extras. In spite of my issues I think it deserves 5 stars.
Poor Ulf! Setting off to market and his day was ruined when he was changed into a wolf by the not-so-wonderful Loki. His wedding day has to wait as he runs into the forest and our adventure begins. Friendly Fox usually brings us fine entertainment and the story caught my eye,
What will we encounter as we travel into the world of gods and magic? This CE has lots of achievements and very well hidden collectibles which makes it a great purchase if the story doesn't falter. In the demo I wasn't burdened with a bunch of bothersome tasks which was surprising. It moved along at a good pace. The graphics in the game's introduction were so pretty, colors were deep and beautiful. But after the game began they seemed to fade somewhat. Characters were nicely rendered, voices were good, Ulf as a giant black wolf was handsome instead of frightful.
I enjoyed the demo HOPs and puzzles. HO scenes were rather dark, some items very small and hard to recognize. Loved the interactivity. Puzzles were great. There's a good amount of both which is really nice, as we usually get a crazy number of puzzles and not enough HOPs, imo.
I was happy to move more into the story and was hoping to see the Shining World with it's gods and magic. I didn't expect to see polar lights in that realm but anything is possible in a fantasy game. The demo was pretty good. But I always wish for more of the adventure to help me with the decision to buy the game. If a good sale comes up I would definitely opt for the CE with it's generous amount of extra content.
A developer reliable for quality every time, imo. This mosaic game comes with a story and mini games but I only saw Spot the Difference, as I didn't complete the demo. There may be a variety of games later, I hope so.
The graphics are nice, I like this style of artwork. The one wallpaper at the beginning of game was pretty. There are 6 tileset choices, all familiar. The images are cute, labeled but easy to recognize without one. I really like the nice bright colors, the grids increase in size as you progress and the difficulty changes, but the demo puzzles were pretty easy.
Today's mosaics game arrived after what seems a long absence. I love this genre. We use to get so many of them, so I was ready for it. 150 levels, mini games, nice music. In the 45 minutes I played there were no tech issues.
but I don't think we need a sequel. It's true that we have more than enough of these games at the moment. But Tiny Little Lion is still a top developer that creates quality games. However maybe even animal lovers are growing weary of so many pets games.
I'd hate to think that TLL is being dishonest about how many pets they own, just to win our hearts, It's possible that their staff, as a group, own many animals. It doesn't matter to me really. I enjoy the games and don't consider them as junk. They are enjoyable with HOs, mini games and cute animals. Graphics are always great, colors clear and bright.
However the interest is wearing thin, just too much of a good thing and now we need something new to satisfy us. I'm not purchasing this since I already own plenty and they have great replay value. If you love animals and this type of game, it's very appealing.
Maybe this dev can understand the growing lack of interest and create something new to replace the animals. I love Tiny Little Lion.
