I've come back to this game several times but I've never been able to get very far with it. Overall, this is a very different type of game than I normally play so I can understand why it just didn't float my boat. If you love predicting and strategics then you will enjoy this game. I thought I would love it just because of the funny fairy tale characters- which are really well-done- but I just struggled with it unfortunately.
Not that I actually DO enjoy games that give me carpal tunnel but the faster-paced the game is, the more I seem to enjoy it. I've found only one game that is has been entirely impossible for me to achieve an expert level score- (which is Burger Mania)- this game, however, is achievable though it remains a fast one. The annoying part is that your character moves pretty darn slow the entire time so you have to click on things in advance and check marks DO NOT show up so you can make sure you've clicked on things in the right order. This could be looked at as an annoyance or as another challenge. An occasional cup of coffee does brew up which helps for a short period of time. Though the graphics are pretty poor and they throw in random clowns and robots into the people character mix, it's still one I've played again several times since I bought it years ago. Perhaps it's a nostalgic thing. Again, there are much better time management games out there these days but it's one that is still kinda fun just b/c of the fast-click factor.

I'm just starting to get into writing reviews for games I've played on Big Fish and looked at some of the older ones I've had in my purchase history. I lol'd when I saw that this game was even available still to purchase. It is a super old one and starts out actually being somewhat fun to play. The graphics are pretty terrible which really isn't an excuse because it's an older game- the way they designed the people/characters is like HUH?! But that's also one of the reasons I've come back to play it again...just because the characters are super-bizarre. A strange-looking dude will be sitting next to a werewolf who will be sitting next to a vampire and the list goes on. Not sure what kind of bar at what kind of beach this is but I'd stay away more so from the way the people look than the animal characters do. Along with the design is the uh..."sound acting" that comes along with it. Indistinguishable noises that sound like "arugula!" "ha bid ah" "uh-uh" "uh top uh voo" and "buh bup" replace real voices which I find hysterical. The game goes on for way too long and could've definitely been chopped down by a lot. You use up all of the items to buy mid-way through the game and though you keep earning money, there's nothing left to spend it on. Still- it's a pretty funny game to experience at least one time. I'd recommend you just download the trial to have a laugh and move on.
If you love ice cream and over-the-top characters...

Being an older game, this is still one I come back to and replay every once in awhile. As you go through the levels, the pace picks up because you have to serve more and more customers in the same amount of time as is the case with almost all time management games of this kind. The characters sort of look like caricatures that have come to life and are a cross between looking creepy and comical- cromical? lol If you like a fast-paced TM game I say go for it!
I recommend this game!

Although I'm not a HUGE fan of the Big City Adventure series, I have played a number of them. It's a little daunting seeing the amount of levels that you have to "get through" in order to reach the end and that is most likely why I've never actually finished any game in this series...it just takes too long to get there and becomes redundant playing the HO scenes and mini-challenges in between each level. With that being said, you do learn a lot about Australia and to some extent it makes you feel...well...sorta like you're there. The graphics aren't exactly puh-pow! but it is an older game so I do take that into consideration. I started this review out with a 4 but changed it to a 3 after realizing that I've never actually finished any of the games in this series...I would vote for them to shorten it up in future games but perhaps they have b/c I haven't played any of the most recent ones in the series.

If you're a fan of the "large file" adventure games, you'll enjoy this one. The graphics and voice acting are still pretty on par with some of today's games. I always appreciate when the storyline actually makes sense, and this one has A LOT going on so it's a plus if you can pay attention; however, if you're not much for dialog or don't really care so much about where the story is going, you can skip it. Also, if you like WWII history and/or conspiracy theory you'll REALLY enjoy this but even if you don't, the discoveries you find as this character feels creepily plausible...until the very latter part of the game.

Even though I rated the individual categories pretty low I always come back to this game time and again. The main reason is because as you go through the game it gets more challenging and the pace picks up. Yes, the graphics are pretty bad and the sounds the characters make you when pick them up and move them (or pick them up and have to put them back) are pretty hilarious. A lot of grunts, groans, and unidentifiable noises pop up all over the place- so if that annoys you, you will not like playing the game. The other main NO of this game is that they have very stereotypical characters and one overweight female character's name is actually "Chubby." When I first saw "her" I was like you've got to be kidding me! But I just lumped it all in with the ridiculousness of the game and decided it's either bad translation or ignorance or both on the developer's part. I still play it, however, from time to time just for fun.
I recommend this game!

I've played this game over and over again for several years. There's something about it that makes it one of my favorites. What is that something? Well- part of it is the characters and voice acting and the other part is the fun of pretending to mix potions. Each character has something to say every time they come into the shop, receive a potion, and every time they leave the shop. That could maybe sound annoying to some, but because the voice acting is so over-the-top (with just one voice that's annoying...girl with red hair and tats) it makes it that much more fun to play. The music is also one of the better soundtracks I've heard, too. The major negative is that as many times as I've played this, the storyline makes almost no sense at all. You're traveling around looking for a guy but why he's left, returns, and what happens at the end is just like what?! It doesn't really matter to me, though, because I have so much fun playing the actual game. Enjoy!

MCF has come a long way! I kept wanting to play this game until I was able to finish it - which took me more than 8 hours overall. The storyline is great and includes real actors that do a pretty good job. A couple of lol parts of the game include the awful wig that one character wears and the "good for nothing" guy sitting on his front porch with a shotgun and WILL fire at you if you get too close---but don't worry---you won't die. It's also fun that there is a twist in the game that I doubt most people would see coming which makes the game even more exciting. I also enjoy the fact that there are lots of challenging mini-games within the game. Some were pretty tough to figure out and if you're not a checkers whiz, you might want to brush up on your skills before you play the dude at the bar. Another lol and kind of annoying part is that during the checkers game there are repeated sounds of sneezing, burping, laughing, and some kind of grunting noise. Enjoy! I gare-own-tee you'll have fun playing this one!

Yikes! This is literally one of the worst games I've ever played. Graphics are terrible, storyline just all of a sudden ends with "The End?" as a question and no explanation, and you can finish the game in no time at all. Even if you're a super fan of Sherlock, do not waste your time or money on this as it has nothing to do with him or what you would think of as a Sherlockian style. Misleading!
