I had a really difficult time playing this game, because the numbers on the cards are very small. And the game slowed the computer down so much, that I had to change the game cursor to my regular, system cursor in the options menu. Another thing that was really terrible it that the game became unwinnable after a really short while. I turned off the demo about 30 minutes in, because I was unable to pass the level I was on. In the store, they have things you can buy to make the game easier, but they cost so much, that it's too prohibitive to be a helpful thing. I'm not playing this one again!
I'm surprised this got released just last year! Because the visual style looks really outdated, and is not pleasant to look at. In the beginning, it was more interesting, because the games were mixed up, so there was a lot more variety. Then I was stuck playing Match 3 games, one after another, which got boring really fast! But hey, you get bombs, so you can blow things up, so why am I complaining? Try it, it might be your cup of tea!
It was sort of fun to play this game, but I wasn't really swept away by it. I didn't enjoy having to compete with the little spaceships that came to steal the jewels, while I was trying to complete jewel sets. That made it a lot harder, but I played on 'Unlimited Time' mode, which made it more bearable. I disliked that everything on the game board looked so small to me. You might thoroughly enjoy it, however, so I recommend that you try the demo!
I played the demo, but didn't really enjoy it. Some levels were hard, but most were extremely easy. You have to click on a cookie, that will then explode candy that either explodes other cookies or changes things. To start off with you have plain strawberries, chocolate covered strawberries, and the cookies, which is the highest stage of all three. Then later they introduce mint which is one below the plain strawberries. It gets a lot harder after that. Once you click on the board, you have to wait until all candy pieces have disappeared completely, before you can click again. It seemed like that was slow going, to wait for that. I think the candy could have gone faster, to speed things up a bit. I love strawberries, but I didn't really enjoy this game. I would rather be playing something else. I played without sound, so I can't really comment on that. But I did find the red candy pieces really annoying, visually!
I tried this on my PC computer and found it did not work. It was designed to be used with a controller and I don't have one, only a mouse. I don't see a lot of games that require a controller, so I won't buy one just to play this one game. I did try with the mouse, and was unable to pass the first level. You are supposed to have this little guy pick up an apple, and then have him run in front of the main character and deposit the apple right in front of him, so that he does not walk off the game board into oblivion. However, the main character walks much faster than I can do things with a mouse, as this game clearly only works well with a game controller. If you have one, and you enjoy the demo, then this is a good game for you! Otherwise, for the majority of people, I don't recommend it!
After a terrible hurricane carried away all the pets, they need help getting back to their home town! Help them by making long chains in this fun match 3 game.
I disliked the game, because it is very repetitive. The idea of choosing timed mode appealed to me, but on one of the levels they make you automatically switch to the limited moves mode, and I had a very difficult time getting back to the timed mode. It seems as if you aren't allowed to do that for a while. But once I was allowed again, the puzzles had become almost impossible to do within what the timer would allow. This just wasn't fun!
Also, hurricanes blow in one direction, tornadoes blow in a whirlwind and carry off things, so it was a tornado that carried the pets off.
I played the demo, and I dislike the game immensely. First of all, they claim that it can be solved by pure logic, without guessing anything, yet at level 11 you cannot solve the puzzle without using a hint. I chose to exit the level and the game! Like another reviewer stated, the "1" and the "7" look almost identical. Right before each level, is this annoying message about the game, including definitions for rows and columns and something about how you can go to the tutorial levels if you need help. This gets really repetitive, and is there even if you get three stars on each level, without ever using hints. The pictures you make are not labeled, and sometimes it's hard to tell what you made there on the grid. Also, it was difficult to see the mark you make for when you know the square is not going to be in play, it is a very light grey color. None of these squares are filled in automatically, when you finish a row or column with correct answers--you have to do it yourself. I'm passing on the game, because this isn't my sort of logic game, when I need to get hints!
I played the demo version. The graphics are great, except the characters are a bit cartoonish. Some people might mind that, but I thought it was okay. It is a little weird, though, because it didn't quite match the level of detail in the scenes. You've got to do a lot of running around looking for little things to go anywhere in the game. That's somewhat annoying, but it still seemed like an interesting game to me. I found that I was able to do several mini-games without having to skip, which is a little unusual for me. But I liked it! It's more fun for me that way. However, some people might want a more challenging game all around. You'll have to try to demo to know if this game is for you.
I played the demo version of the Standard Edition. You are called to investigate the death of a young woman, who died under very mysterious circumstances in what appears to be a ritual killing. She is only one of several recent victims to die the same way. Everyone has a different tolerance level for this sort of thing, but I felt that the crime scene was very grotesque. It made me feel a bit queasy to see the bloody skeleton. And later, there's someone that you are following who is missing some of the skin on their face, and that's gross as well. When the shapeshifters were introduced into the story, I was a bit flummoxed. It already was an intense game, and loses a bit of credibility when you add an element like that. But then again, I'm not a real detective, so there's that! It certainly adds something interesting. However, what really bothers me about this game is that despite my in-game credentials, I do a great job of contaminating this crime scene. I find dirty tweezers, which I use to handle evidence, and I find a scalpel, that may well have been the murder weapon and use it to cut some rope. They would have my job for this! Otherwise, it was somewhat fun and I would like to find out the ending someday, but I'm going to wait until the price is really marked down.
I played the demo, hoping that the game would be fun. However, I found it to be way too difficult for me too early on. I loved the graphics, the little electrical people were very cute, and I liked all the pastels in the game. The music and sound effects were annoying however, very repetitive and loud. I had to mute it to continue playing for the free hour. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. It took me a while to figure out that each level has three separate stages, and you have to earn three stars in each stage to get three stars for that level and to earn a little trophy and a tiny little picture of the electric people, about their love story. Each stage of each level gets increasingly more difficult. I think this game is definitely for advanced puzzle playing adults, but a child prodigy might enjoy it as well. It was too hard for me!
