I'm not going to go into detail, because others have already done so but this is an amazing, challenging game of the standard I have been hoping and wishing for, for a long time.
I love Gizmos and have them all. Sadly, this is not as good as the earlier versions. By the time the developers had got to Interstellar, you had puzzles, a choice of timer on/off, a choice of playing with the image emerging through the colour of tiles or not, and a changing background (each time you completed a puzzle). I've just played the first 20 games and whilst I am really enjoy ing this Gizmos, it is a shame that the developers have gone backwards, not forwards with what they offer us.
Not sure what I was expecting, but I played the demo for about an hour and didn't bother finishing it. The game (and I use that word loosely) is simply a series of HOGs with a few mini games thrown in. I kept hoping that there would be something to do but gave up.
I've given this three stars because if you haven't played 'living legends:uninvited guests' then you might enjoy it. This is a repeat, and by that I mean an exact repeat. First, you have a magic mirror (tick), which you have to feed with a crystal to learn the history (tick), who gives you a magic sphere to enable you to see the spirits of the enchanted person (tick) who need you to find a possession of their before they can help you (tick). I could go on - even some of the mini games are identical. Having said all that, I enjoyed univited guests, although it was not a challenging game. So I won't be buying this.
I beta tested this game and didn't find anything positive to say about it then. There is nothing new here - even the music trying to make it scary at the fountain didn't work - and the monster, well, I've seen better cartoon drawings from a child. Nothing new, nothing remotely interesting and, my particular bugbear, where is the definitive article?! 'Monster does' - where's the 'the'? Sorry, not one for me. I was already irritated by the game and that did it for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and being able to change characters. BUT, and it's a big BUT - it is way too short - it only took me a few hours to complete. The hidden objects and mini games are fun, but there is absolutely nothing challenging in this game. I'm recommending it but with the above proviso. It is also a shame that, unlike some other games, you can't go back afterwards and finish the collections.
How wonderful to have such a unique game. I'm not a fan of random clicking - but in this instance I can forgive the developers. It is a fabulous game and highly recommend.
I very rarely give a bad review, but in this instance I feel it is justified. Apparently this is supposed to be set in Iceland? Other than a volcano there is nothing here that remotely resembles that country or gives any indication you are anywhere but in the US, judging by the accents. I only played the demo - no challenge, an overambundance of fluffly animals - and whenever something is missing you get an image of what you are looking for and where to place it! I would have suggested this might be for children rather than adults, save for how the demo ends. Don't waste your money.
I didn't even finish the demo. Not scary. Completely standard plot. Nothing that makes it worth buying. Setting up the table, choosing food and decorations ... minimal level of skill required. Nothing remotely challenging.
