With this game I have to make a confession. I have both the C.E. and the standard edition of this game. Why you ask? I'M IN LOVE WITH THE OPENING!!!! The game is great as many other reviews attest to. But even after playing the full game, which was awesome, I have left it on my active desktop just for THE OPENING!!! It is so sweet that with a little imagination you can be whisked away to another place and time. If the game was new I would not offer these remarks, especially since I'm far from being other than a beginner at computer games. But surely there are those that would consider an older game a good look-see at the amazing opening title video for it's meditative properties alone. Don't get me wrong. the game. as stated in these reviews is great.but at this point, though older, I encourage you to take a look. Really, it's awesome!!!
I recommend this game!

I really do! I'm a woman of a certain age and haven't really played computer games before. (Well, except the cool text adventure games on my VIC 20! That really dates me huh?) When I happened to find out about Big Fish and started swimming (or rather, dog-paddling) about a year ago, HOGs were my thing. (Hints! And no time limits!) I eventually expanded my genre appreciation but, though I tried, I just couldn't do, or just plain couldn't get into T.M.'s. Even with options for relaxed play I found story and/or repetition boring. NOT SO WITH THIS GAME! Now I sort of wish I purchased the CE. Story - great! Characters - funny! etc! etc! etc!
The ONLY reason I took off a star is because I couldn't read fast enough, and I really want to catch every word of the story!
Seriously, give this game a try! You won't be wasting your time!
P.S. - This is the first time I'll be checking Time Management games as a favorite!
I recommend this game!

I really, really love this game! As I am near to finishing I found the Lost In Reefs games and have played the trial on both but to me the charm factor just is not the same. The ambiance too is great in this game as it is played by the light of the moon. I will be trying the Antarctic version next and I can only hope that it measures up to the game play, beauty and charming art of this game. I would love to see a second in this series. Big Fish - try and get one please!
I recommend this game!

I'm no expert, nor one to think I'm qualified to comment on most games, but this is a game similar to those of us old enough to remember board games that had nothing to do with a computer.
This is a game of both chance, some strategy and mild competition. You can play up to 3 living or computer opponents. A die role of 6 gets you out of the starting position and an extra turn. Knock your opponents back to start by landing on their occupied space. The first to get all 4 of their pieces to safety wins the game. There are 9 background choices, 4 board and 4 cursor choices. Also there is an option to mute the music and a fixed camera option, both of which I do. (you'll see what I mean)
This is a great family game and as a way to 'come-down' from the intensity of the many great suspense games offered by BFG.
I've had this game for about 4 months and I think I've played it almost everyday. Solitaire games are great (I have many) but I get tired of them when I'm looking for something to pass a few minutes. Give the trial a go!
